I honestly don’t know how Mike Eccles does it, he got a team promoted that really shouldn’t have even been at the races, last season with what he had to work against he did a remarkable job and I hope and pray ( except when we play them) he can work his miracles again. God only knows what he could accomplish given the resources.

Tbf you have to Remember the club is effectively Mike Eccles and one or two other staff members aside the players.

And the Lobster (as co-owner according to Companies House records) but I have no idea of his role in what's left of the Broncos name, hopefully more than just taking a wage.

He's so impressive isn't he? I was watching his interview after the Bradford game and he just comes across really well, I think most of us who saw the two respective teams and their levels of experience might have thought he would be delighted with what he had seen and how they had given Bradford a real battle but he was deflecting any praise and saying being plucky losers wasn't of any interest to him and he wasn't accepting praise for his team's effort because that was non-negotiable, I know other coaches say those sort of things but just listening to him you can see why players respond to him.

He’s still at the club. I think most of the off field stuff is his role but there’s a hell of a lot to do !

Anyone know where and when the Broncos v Dewsbury 1895 Cup game is going to be? BBC has it as a 1pm kickoff next Sunday but not seen anything from either club. It's only 10 days away and it would be good to book travel, time off, etc.

Is there a maximum number of loan or DR players in a matchday squad?

You can have a maximum of 5 players of whom no more than 4 are DR players in a match-day squad, although you can have a 6th player in the squad if they are on loan for the entire season.

It's certainly being set up as a non-event to be played in front of next to nobody. If the Broncos don't have something in place asap it might be fairer to give home advantage away.

It's being played at the New River Stadium next Saturday, 3pm kickoff.

Makes sense and boosts the bar takings at New River bar maintaining good relations across London RL. Good thinking IMO.

Not even sure myself. Dewsbury fans have been told but I don't think Broncos or Skolars have announced anything. As Worzel notes - classic stuff.

I’m going to go with accidental double booking.

I can imagine the receptionist at Haringey Borough Council. "Wait, there's *two* London rugby league clubs? Oh god, I thought you were just phoning up to confirm the booking."

I wonder what London fans think of this.  To be fair, New River Stadium is a much more appropriate size (and budget) for them than Plough Lane.  I won't comment on location etc. as my knowledge of London is limited.  But part of me wonders if they are 'testing the waters' while considering a permanent switch?

I really don't see the point of having 2 lower league London clubs playing at the same ground.

Skolars are amateur now.
