Coaches Dan Robert’s, Karl Matthews and Mark Roughsedge put the lads through their paces, assisted by Broncos first teamers Stock Hellec Adebiyi and Player Welfare Manager Marty Hyde. Really good session especially for my lads as this was their first experience outside of our own school. One monster hit in defense and then fabulous evasion skills, pace and footwork led to a try assist for one of them playing a year above his age group. Get the politics sorted and let the South get on with it! These are the types of stories I like to read. Was this an open trial? 1

Ivarr the Boneless Posted April 11 Posted April 11 40/20 are reporting the London event was entitled "The future of London Broncos and rugby league in London" it was due to announce new owners, key partners and a vision for the future. Hopefully it is genuinely postponed and not cancelled. The club, and sport, are barely treading water down south right now 2

Angelus Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Listening to the Forty20 podcast this evening, there was no mention of anything being said tomorrow. Just that the "announcement" has been put back a month, reason not fully known. They were hinting at some sort of involvement with the Canterbury Bulldogs though. Interesting....

THE RED ROOSTER Posted April 14 Posted April 14 It is like a form of Kremlinology at present but consider this, for a London Broncos side that at the start of the season seemed not to have the proverbial brass razoo.. London Broncos talent pathway is up and running for juniors with a flyer being distributed at the Hunslet game - Somone is funding this. The Club offered 50% Discounted tickets for the Batley game, though there was a take up of this iot would not generate much by way of concessions (i.e Food and drink) most of which goes to AFC Wimbledon - Revenue generation perhaps not so acute then at this point in time? London Broncos XIII on Saturday did not contain any loan players at all which some found strange. No comment in the media from Mike Eccles about the game on saturday, in fact total media silence in the last week. You have to trust the process here, it's a sensitive time since it is perceived that the backwoodsmen have staged a coup up here and my own hunch is that any London takeover is linked to the NRL Europe plans. Not sure where the Canterbury Bulldog speculation is from apar from someone listening to the Gus Gould podcast, but there is an NRL club that is alleged to be keen on having a close arrangement with the UK game but I will keep silent on this, as it may incidentally not be London, for there has been too much media speculation that is spooking investors. Everything the NRL does is not altrustic but actually benefits the NRL as much as Northern Hemisphere RL. London is for junior development an untapped market, the likes of Jamie Humphries and Kai Pearce-Paul have demonstrated that there is untapped talent down here and with an expanding NRL by 2030 the requirement to have more sources of quality junors coming through increases. Patience is a virtue... Quote What I don’t like here is sitting here with a bloke like you questioning my credibility. I misled no one – mind your words, son Phil Gould responding to criticism - I think I might try this out at work with any whippersnapper questioning my judgement..... You either own NFTs or women’s phone numbers but not both

Does the embassy shut down then? I rather doubt it. More likely is whatever deal is to be announced is not done yet. 1
