If the ref had sped up the play the ball, we’d probably have put 40 on you.

Well played - I think you deserved it.  It was a good game though and it felt like for most of the second half that the next try would be the winner - which it turned out to be.  A shame then that you still have these delusions of grandeur.  Say what you want about Fev fans but I think we tend to be very honest about our performances - good or bad.

If you look on the BBC tables ., they have us and Sheffield on 28 points with us on 6th with a difference of 122 and Sheffield with a difference of 100 in 7th.    BBC strikes again , What a bl---dy organisation of nitwits.

Not sure I understand? Fev finished on 28 points, with 622 for and 500 against (+122). Sheffield also on 28 points, with 626 for and 526 against (+100). I’m no fan of the BBC but what are you suggesting they’ve done wrong in this instance?

Yeah, thanks a lot. Making us endure another week of this god awful season.

Yeah you lost again yesterday , if you lot can't see the positives and enjoyment in that game you're watching the wrong sport.

Couldn't fault the effort yesterday, but a glaring lack of quality to open the defence especially near their line. Credit to York, they deserved the win, and they had the standout player in Harris. Difficult to see us winning next week, hopefully they give their all then we can't ask for anymore.

Very good turnout from Fev with the way we've been playing. I didn't expect that many turning out but we've got our diehards and go again next week.

If Ford is locked in a sealed room next week and we let Reynolds and Locky sort out the coaching we have a better chance.Harris scored two tries today by going off script. He took on the defence and scored. We never look like doing anything different.Either forwards driving up the middle or pass out usually to the open side. Then on the last tackle a gentle high ball.Although  we do sometimes put in short kicks. No dummies ,run arounds ,back passes, short pass offloads ,kick over the defence, just sterile plays that won't trouble half decent defences.Ford needs to watch Hull KR, Salford and Leigh for attacking play to open up defences.

There is something quite exciting when your coach says in interview, "I couldn't look my halfbacks in the eye if I didn't give them the freedom to use their flair and talent."

Harris ,the kicker was behind every other York player, meaning every York player was offside. A very easy decision.

Spot on, Spud.

With 5 games to go after we beat Toulouse i had the finishing points totals  Wakefield 50 (50) Toulouse 35 (37) Bradford 34 (34)  Rovers 32 (28) Widnes 31 (29) York 30 (30) and Sheffield 30(28).as i said earlier i thought Widnes would beat Toulouse and     Sheffield would beat Dewsbury. But we have underperformed by losing 3 and not just the last game at York i expected.Losing at home to Sheffield is not acceptable we are the only side they beat in the last 8 games.

When you kick emotions to one side and look at that game from a neutral point of view. My summing up would be that it was a good tight game. The only controversy I would say was the disallowing of Gales second attempt of a try when it was called a knock on. I was obviously too far away to make my mind up until I saw the replay and to me that was a try all day. However it's fair to say that York were much the more adventurous side with the ball especially when they got into our 20 where Fevs defence in numerous games looks dodgy to say the least. Two different styles of play and it would be fair to say that whoever scored first in that second half were going to be the winners. A good York defence coupled with wrong options on Fevs part was the difference. That game I would say would have put to shame some of the dross served up in Super League recently. So on to next week and it's difficult to predict what sort of performance Fev will put up being the only side going into the play offs after losing their last game and helped by the unfortunate twist of fate that happened at Dewsbury.

I agree with most of that, and the two tries that were disallowed for offside (1 for each side) were both correct decisions.

Gale's disallowed try in the second half as you say was obviously a try with the benefit of a replay but also when Reynolds made his break in the 2nd half (around 2.20 on the video) Connor Jones was clearly held back by York's number 19 with a blatant shirt pull, without that shirt pull Jones would have been on Reynolds' shoulder shouting for the ball and Ben would surely have passed to him rather than day and he'd have been under the posts with nobdy touching him.

Not that it makes any difference now and York took their chances better than we did so deserved to win, but it really could have gone either way.

I actually thought it was a certain try till I saw the replay but I do think the fev lad had a hand in for the knock on

sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward

If you watch it on 0.25 speed via the Settings tool (yes I'm that sad!) you can see Gale's hands are out in front of him, the ball goes off Lineham onto Gale's head and is actually some way away from his hands.

Ouch I was feeling ok with the result but now.......

The offside try is very very close close as well.  All the more annoying given that I'm sure the ref was about to give it and none of the York players were complaining.  Plus I can't recall the last time a championship touch judge had the balls to make a decision (or did we have the honour of having SL touch judges as well as having a clearly superior SL ref !!)

Anyway it doesn't matter - York still deserved it - didn't they ??

Yes, I think York did deserve to win, because they defended very well when we were dominating in terms of territory and then took their chances far better than we did when they were attacking.

I just don't think that we were far away on the day and they're arguably the second form team in the comp behind Wakefield. We've seen some shocking performances this season but I don't think that was one of them.

I think most sensible people will see that that game could have gone either way. Not much between the teams at all . A piece of good play here and a handling error there being the only difference.
