Good squad building, definitely think a wing/centre is a must and by sound of things Curtis teare will fill that roll ,also an out and out  half back, too much reliance on Johnston and walker ,adds competition in there and frees walker occasionally to play his better position at loose forward, again if rumours are true that's been address aswel ,I'd be surprised if likes of burke stay which would mean at least one front rower coming in ,squad doesn't need an overhaul just needs competition right across the team , depending on outgoings I could see 4/5/6 new faces next season

Several regulars missing from this list: Gilliam. Greenwood. Clarke. Is Stack retiring? Carter too? Agree Burke needs to go. No mention of Shaw, a great goal-kicker, but he's no longer a flyer on the wing which we need.

We need to get Gillam signed up again and hope stacky goes one more year.

Really like Max Clarke as well ... I think his best position is centre and we should be using him there more often.

Greenwood had a very slow start but has got better as the season has gone on

Missing because they haven't been announced for 2025 yet. I hope the likes of gillam are retained like all supporters will I'm sure.

Heard he's signed and hasn't come cheap.

If this is true that’s a shame we are paying big as there is a half back who lives in Barrow, who especially early season before the troubles were public was winning games for Haven with his handling/kicking who surely would be affordable.

Bang average at best ! No better than Walker or Johnston. We need a running halfback who can see a gap or create one. We already have two static, passing ones and Carter is exactly the same.

Not for me sorry

Why would bishop be getting big money ,he's decent but not big wedge decent

Rumours up here he wants a 12.5k contract for the season then be winning pay and losing pay.  Got a good job at Sellafield aswell

Problem for Carter he wants to be starting week in week out and I don't think he is any better than what we have. Would love to have him in the squad competing for a half back place.

Don't like the sound of Bishop on big wages, if he has a good job at Sellafield no brainer for him to be picked up by workington or haven. If he did sign here he's a squad player which we need but we shouldn't be breaking the bank for him. If we stay DR with Wigan surely they can loan us a half/9 when required.

Bishop has had that same Sellafield job whilst playing and training for Keighley, so can't imagine Barrow would be too much of a struggle for him. I've heard he's on good money at Keighley, more than the aforementioned £12.5k, so it sounds like he will be freeing up a bit of budget for us at the end of this season. He didn't play on Sunday in the play off game, Webster went with a young half back in front of him, not sure on the reasoning.

Did say as it stands which hopefully means he may reconsider (even if it's just like Worthington this year), but agree a huge loss. Still playing at a very good performance level before even considering his age.

Not so much pacy but his brain is fast and can control games just as good at 9 aswell

His own FB page apparently.  I questioned this also as its on the Town forum page. Nothing from the Raiders as yet. Don't do FB myself

Statement on his own Facebook thingy.

"So, as it stands, this weekend will be my last professional game, and i will be hanging up my boots. I was lucky enough to have played 1 pro game, let alone 334 games in the UK and 100 back in Australia. I came over here when I was 20 and now nearly 37 and have played all my games in cumbria, the place I now call home. I have given everything I could to the game on and off the field and made a lot of sacrifices that have sometimes impacted my life for the good and bad, and so have my family. Some people don't realise the time and dedication as players we put into playing week in week out, missing family events, family holidays, and time with my family but I did it cause I love the game. To all my family and friends that have supported me from a kid till now I couldn't have been the player I am today and the person I am today without you and it's never forgotten the sacrifices you have made. To Workington and (Dave Bowden), you gave me my opportunity to come to the UK and live my dream and to Barrow for making my last 8 years memorable and taking care of me, you have one of the most dedicated coaches in the game and i cant thank him enough as a coach and more importantly as a friend for making me captain of the club. Fans at both clubs have been amazing and always made me feel very welcomed, and some have become close friends. To all the players I have played alongside, you have always made it so much easier to play in whatever state my body was in and i come away with some long life friends. Mum, I know you are not here in person, but I know you're watching over me, and I hope I've made you proud."

Really hope he changes his mind but have to respect his choice if that is the case.

I've been attending Barrow games for 20 years and for me he is one of the most consistent players I've ever watched. Throws his body into collision exactly the same whether it's super league opposition or league 1 opposition. Rarely missed game due to injury, that doesn't mean he wasn't injured it just means he was that tough he played through it.

After watching the game today he still has so much to offer and hope he sticks on another season.
