Match thread: Championship Playoffs. Bradford Bulls v Featherstone Rovers. Sunday 6th October2024.

Recommended Posts

Well, just typing playoffs in the title of this thread is a bit of a bonus, given how we've played and our recent form and results. Thank you Dewsbury.

But here we are on merit. Won 14 Lost 12, a match for anyone on our day. We're just never sure what day that is.

Off to Odslum to get a result which would send us to the Bellisima Vue Megasuperdome in the semis.

That'd be a decent way to finish a shaky season.

Hopefully all that training of six a side touch and pass in a ginnel between two pit houses on Leatham Park Court will be of benefit on the wide acres of Bradford's speedway track.

Same again XVII?

Hard to see what will change. Addy's still suspended. Patton is still on the naughty step. Bowes still out. Kibula still MIA and Harris & Jeffery still too young.

We can win this if we want.

Up The Rovers

Mark are you sure we would go to Toulouse if we won, as being the lowest qualifying team surely we would go to Wakefield  ??

Mark is having a little fun with the Italian language Haskey. Bellisima Belle Vue. He is referring to Wakefields ground

Yes it is me just for verification 🤔

Go to Bradford and stuff them

This is not a request

But a friendly order

Good luck Featherstone 🤞🤞

Do you know something Coolie if Fev win the Grand Final (I know...not very likely) then I think Fev ought to let Dewsbury share the the prize money and as a token gesture let the trophy be exhibited in your cabinet for six months. Of course this is assuming there is prize money and a trophy.🤣🤣🤣......and assuming you have a trophy cabinet😊

Oh we have a very big trophy cabinet... Remember 2000 when we won 5 (yes 5) trophies

We need an underdog in this playoff fight, and for me that's gonna be Featherstone, remember last year a team given no chance (London) went on an amazing run and won the blinking thing, you've to be in it to win it.. And you are, all expectations are off Featherstone now, which could work in your favour, enjoy and bring home a victory mate

On the last few performances I can’t see us getting close to the Bulls. However, there is a glimmer of hope, as they can throw in the odd shocker as well. Either way, there’s almost zero chance of beating Trin, if we do win, but at least we’d make some addition cash.

We're not actually playing that well at the minute. Swinton put in the worst performance I've seen from any side this year. Halifax we were poor. Batley we had awful game management again and very lucky to win.

It Fev can keep in the game and unsettle us, we become very vulnerable as the game at our place showed.

Though we had most possession and possible more chances at York it was York that were more adventurous when in possession and deserved to score the winner. However it would have been no surprise whichever team had come out on top. Like the game at Bradford either team could have come out with the win. Fev were in a groove of three big wins then after disappointments and as Fev supporters just like you Bulls fans (I would imagine) never know what to expect. It's been a season of up and downs across most clubs this season. It could be close or one team could fly away with it. That's the beauty of it all.

Both squads named via RFL website

Same 20 as last week for us, let's hope everyone pulled up ok.
Bradford have preferred Sammut to Gaskell and I don't think anyone who I would have expected to feature in their 17 is absent from their 21-man squad, might be a doubt about Doro, not sure.

Both home teams Favourites at 1/2 4/9  depending on the bookmaker and away teams Fev and Widnes 13/8  7/4  best prices.I find it spoils the game by betting on it and one tends to slag the ref or some of your own players off with the emotion involved.I think we will need to play to the standard we did against Toulouse and defended at Widnes to win the game but anythings possible with Fev this season.

Gaskell was awful when he came back after his injury. Didn't look interested.

Doro is a doubt for us.

The favourites double looks good to me, although I won’t be betting against Fev.

I can see a PATTON forming in this game. I am going to take a WYNNE all DAY long. Especially if we have a GALE blowing down the field. Try scorers Patton, Wynne, Day and Gale. Five goals from Reynolds with a penalty with twenty seconds to go. 24-26.

I was wrong with my prediction last week but I have been known never to be right😂😂😂
