Well generally that's the way when someone wins 🤣

I’m making the 150 mile trek up north, can anyone recommend anywhere to park around the stadium?

Lots of spaces in residential streets near the ground, just don't park in the coach spaces. Whenever I come out of a game at Headingley where no coaches are around there is a line of cars with parking tickets on them on the way out.

Spring Lane near ground always has spaces an hour or so before a game and is my go to place ....if you are wanting to get out though quickly.....park about half mile out and just walk past the traffic queues

I think the Ingredients are here for some good viewing figures and a much needed boost for England RL.....I hope.

The games is at a good time against a decent, recognised opponent. The second half of the first game showed a good level of competition and was an enjoyable watch. Plus the Mikey Lewis 'siva tau' incident has gone a little bit viral (well,as viral as RL can get!). I had some colleagues at work this week who don't follow RL asking me about it as they had seen it on their social media feeds. So I would be hopeful it's generated enough publicity to attract some more casual sports fans to tune in

An interesting message on the website if you go to buy tickets this morning -

"Tickets are now unavailable via RL Ticketing. To purchase tickets, please visit Wigan Warriors Ticketing Website."

Just caught the BBC Breakfast sports bulletin 08:30, no RL at all. Nowt.

Ridiculous. I could understand if it was itv/c4 news, but BBC showing the game.....surely its in their interests to at least let people know its happening!

I summarised the ticketing situation to my better half, who puts together the ticketing arrangements and systems for certain large events. Suffice to say I'm glad she wasn't driving and there was a paper bag handy.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

I have a couple of posts on my Facebook feed of folk going to the game today - and travelling from London. Absolutely not RL fans but they were sharing the war dance video clips the other day. Amazing what some positive publicity can do…

Leeds Station at 11.30am was a celebration of RL.

One lad with a Home Counties accent, possibly a uni type, said to his mate: "Jeez they really like their rugby league round here don't they".

How many tickets have been sold ?

Impossible to tell - all the seats except hospitality have sold. There were about 500 left on the terraces last night, but I suspect there were a number that never went on sale.

Nsemba for KPP.

Marshall for Young.

Thompson for Burgess.

I was looking forward to seeing KPP and Nsemba playing together..

Really don't know what Bateman is doing to keep his spot.

Fine with Marshall coming in this series, but I dread to think of him in a challenge against Zac Lomax next year.

Bateman is a pretty solid defender on that right edge in fairness. Not the most exciting player but always reliable and makes some good carries. I'd have preferred to see the KPP and Nsemba with KPP on the right as I think KPP is already a better player, but I don't think Bateman had a bad game last week and he's had a lot of good performances for England to have some credit in the bank.

Marshall will probably only ever be a back up winger, but there aren't many better back ups with so much big game experience. If he can perform well this afternoon it just adds to the strength in depth that we've got.

I may have been exaggerating when I said I don't see how Bateman is still in the team - I get he is a solid player at SR.

I just thought last week KPP easily outplayed him, England seemed to be using him quite well as a ploy, and the more he plays with Williams/Smith the better for future.

I am also quite aware of my bias with him being a London player.

I agree, KPP was definitely better than Bateman. I wonder if it has more to do with wanting to keep players on their usual side of the field. If I'm not mistaken KPP plays left edge for the Knights, so perhaps that comes into Wane's thinking. if it was up to me, given how well KPP played on Wigan's right, there'd be no issue with him playing on that side but I don't know how much coaches consider these things. I'm sure we'll see the two of them playing in the same side sooner rather than later.

Edit: Turns out KPP has a minor calf injury, which explains the team selection.
