How much do Rovers supporters think the club should charge to get in? Everything's gone up not just admission charges. It's a very touchy subject and you will never please all supporters.

I have a feeling that match day tickets will be £25 this season. With season tickets at £270 (£240 early bird) and concessions £220 (£170 early bird) they are not going to stay at £20.

I really don't have a problem with £25 as I know there are five or six weekends when I won't be able to come so I will miss some games.

Ticket prices will be higher than a lot of SL clubs, as will a lot of championship clubs, but if it puts a decent team on the field I have no issue.

£25 won't go down well but if needs must,we shall find out soon enough.

Pricing is always going to be a difficult and emotive issue. We all want a good team on the pitch, however many fans are feeling the pinch and don't want prices to go up. I can empathise with Colin's point on another thread about pensioners having potentially limited income, yet that applies equally across all the age ranges. I actually agree with the club's principle of reduced prices for the younger fan as that's the demographic we need to be targeting in increasing numbers. With the best will in the world, knocking £50 off the price of a concession is unlikely to lead to an influx of 65+ supporters that don't already attend, whereas a season ticket for £100 for those under 30 may bring in some of those who've stopped attending in 2024 and also encourage more young families to the game.

The other issue in the room is that I'd suggest (rightly or wrongly) that actually the price plays a comparatively low part in attendances. If we reduced season tickets to say £100 for adults and £50 for concessions, would we see an enormous spike in demand? I doubt it. Consequently the best way for the club to maximise revenue is to milk the current regulars for as much as they can. Will we loose a few to affordability issues? Undoubtedly we will, but the increased revenue for those that continue to fork out is likely to more than compensate for that.

Talking of revenue I remember in the past when I was on the board that I (on my own initiative) looked at advertisements by local businesses. I contacted them all and said that they would only be read by people buying the paper or magazine. I suggested that at a resonable price they could put a poster in the the ground that would be seen by a large number of people and increase income. Quite a few went along with the proposal and they increased selling and we increased in come. With the new developements coming along could we cater for posters for businesses ?

LED advertising boards, they're the future. 😉

Now the dust has settled I had to laugh when the club proudly said All adult and concession prices are frozen for the 2025 season and that's true if you write them down side by side they are identical but unfortunately 2025 is one game less so cost per game gone up

That is true but having one game less means that club is receiving less revenue as well.

The early bird prices are ok and i like the club getting the young supporters of the future incentive. But i think the price for the casual supporters on game day is too much for Championship rugby. We need to encourage more walk ups as we are very unlikely to sell over 1000 season tickets. With gates of about 1600 on average the stadium will be less than 20%full.

£25 walk up seems reasonable. £20 in advance to encourage sales.

There aren't many folk left that don't have a smart phone or PC to buy the ticket in advance.

I would have thought that the majority of walk ups would be away fans anyway. Maybe we need to introduce a Bulls tax for when the only well supported club rocks up too 😉

The young adult season ticket is a great idea and conveniently sorts out two christmas presents for me.

I can't see many paying £25 especially when many didnt/ wouldn't pay £20 ( over 65's). We usually get more walk ups when we're doing well and something to play for, many think no promotion no point going.

The people who buy a season ticket at full price (£270 for 12 games) will be paying £22.50 a game, there is no way that the club will go below that. In my eyes it looks like £25 per game, and I am okay with that as I am sure I will miss some games.

If thats the case you could argue that whoever walked up last year will turn up again this year - even if the prices go up

Crowds have dropped and its getting them back again, won't come for various reasons but hopefully we shall be more competitive this coming season.

Obviously we need more money in and the plan is to charge the die hard fans who will go regardless.

It's a tough sell for any neutral or new fans when it's cheaper to get a season ticket for Leeds Rhinos.

With no promotion to aim for its tough times........I haven't been since grading started.

Last season was a mess but I might go to a few games next year if we've got a bit of momentum going again.

Diehards as usual and a few if the Rugby is good ,but will anything change with Fordy still in charge ?

Just browsing  the Wakefield Trinity Heritage posts and came across this from a 1977 programme. In recent games we have been getting a high percentage of supporters going through the pensioners turnstile more than 33%.So for future home games the turnstile will manned outside and inside and if requested pension books and ID must be produce if age is in doubt.Otherwise we will have to withdraw the HALF price concession and revert to charging FULL price as Leeds and Hunslet have done.

Think £25 will put off a few fans, think it's a bit of a liberty when folk are struggling, this sport was built by working class workers, and that's shouldn't be forgotten, let's not go down the road of Football, a once affordable game for the masses, now a rich man's hobby, at £25 away fans won't travel specially if there is a chance your team will get hammered... Let's keep the game real and affordable to everyone.

Personally i would charge £22 and £18 imho its about right ,but i obviously don't know anything about how much the players are being payed and how much it takes to run the club. What i do know is the attitude of people round Featherstone, this squad the club are assembling won't be cheap and if you want a decent squad you have to pay decent money.

Quite a variation in ticket prices.Barrow who are building up attendances offer match day Adults £16 and concessions £13.Oldham season tickets early bird £200 and £140 but they are building supporters numbers.Hunslet early bird £150 and £100 also attempting to build crowds.York season tickets Adults £209 concessions £174.Doncaster  £149 and £99,Batley £20 match day no concessions £18 if bought early online.Widnes  £225 and £190 for North Stand.Broncos £175 can't find any discount for concessions.Fax £225 and £180 main stand seatingSouth stand £198 and £153.Match day £25 and £20  or £22 and £17 other stand behind sticks. Can't find Bradford but they are usually HIGH and Sheffied seem reluctant to openly advertise their ticket prices. On reflection i think Fevrovers (above) suggested prices are fair.I would price them lower at £20 and £16 but i realise we are building a strong squad.Lets hope Martin Vickers brings in another 320k as was suggested last year. But i know a couple of long standing sponsors who have had enough and called it a day.

That's a blow to the club's finances. Which ones?

I can't divulge but one has supported the club through sponsorship for over 30 years. It is not because he has fallen out with Rovers but he disagrees with IMG and lack of promotion and relegation by the teams efforts on the field.

That's a real shame.

Mind you if he's been a sponsor since before 1994 he'll have seen lots of seasons with no P&R. Some of our best years too.
