Is it the clubs that actually vote for the clubs to be admitted after the management have approved the applications?

The NCL has confirmed, via Twitter, Keighley Albion's inclusion for 2025.

It tweets: "We'd like to welcome @AlbionRLFC to Division Three of the NCL. They were voted into the league as new members for 2025 at a recent club meeting. We wish them every success as they begin this new chapter."

Last season, Albion finished second bottom of the Yorkshire League's Premier Division.

What is the motivation for a club like Keighley Albion to join the NCL? They were struggling in Yorkshire premier division…….

There is talk of duel reg with the Gougers.

Im not sure. It seems only teams form Yorkshire and Cumbria join the NCL, when was the last club from the north west to join?

From memory, it was probably Clock Face Miners in 2016. I stopped collecting amateur RL results and league tables in 2020. Up to then I have the league tables for most leagues from 1973, all the NCL results except the second season and the result of every BARLA National cup game ever played. Salford City Roosters are working towards getting back in the NCL.

Previous head coach, since 2022, Josh Ireland, resigned towards the end of September, ending a three-year spell at the club. Albion statement said he had stepped down voluntarily.

Albion's chairman, Andrew Stokes, was quoted as saying: "I sincerely hope Josh will continue to work with us in some capacity and help shape the future Albion."

I see Keighley Albion have signed 40-year-old hooker James 'Buster' Feather, the former Keighley Cougars captain. Feather is Cougars' all-time appearances record-holder and a club Hall of Fame inductee. He retired at the end of the 2022 season, and (apparently) spent last year coaching Cougars' academy players.
