There are a lot of talented athletes in the in the British-Asian and Afro-Caribbean communities that Rugby League league hasn't even begun to scratch the surface of even in town and cities where Rugby League is played. We even have trouble breaking into the British-Irish communities in the same towns and cities.

This is an area where RL could really see rewards. I’d like to see clubs have a big push into the many different communities within our towns and cities

Do we? Clubs like Wigan St Patrick's and Dewsbury Celtic say hi.

Do we even have British Irish communities anymore? Maybe the older end but not so much the younger generation

I'm sure you have second generation who are to all intents and purposes Irish but in Britain but the numbers of Irish born people in the UK are lower now than at any time since the 1930s. Still not insignificant though - that's over 300,000 people.

I know there’s a lot of Irish and Irish heritage people in Britain, I’m one of them but there’s not the community like there is in other nationalities/heritages.
The comment was about tapping into the Irish communities but I don’t think that’s the same as tapping into African, Caribbean, Asian, Polish etc communities

I think this is correct. Wigan certainly used to have all of that but many of those are now 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation Irish and while people may be proud of their Irish roots its nothing like it used to be, and certainly nothing like my parents or Grandparents told me about.

To be sure
