Are Sale playing that weekend?

No idea, but that shouldn’t affect anything. Salford could play on a different day.

I'd be very surprised if he has broken an embargo. More likely it's not been communicated by SL to media yet and someone at a club has passed him the info.

The RFL provide the news to journalists well in advance.

There is no scoop, no digging.

He was given the info and broke the embargo.

Like I said I would be very surprised if that was the case.

He has a track record.

I don't recall Shaw breaking embargo before? Can anyone give an example?

Yes - only last month he broke the news of the Aston Tribunal decision an hour before the embargo time.

It's going to be another season of Leeds home games on Saturday afternoons. Really painful.

Lets hope they've managed to come up with a full fixture list that doesn't see a club playing another three times before they've played a couple of others once.

lets hope they have managed to clash most of the rhinos home fixtures with Leeds utds home ties or away kick off times like they have been doing last season - isnt it great? next season hasnt even started yet and we have a thread about it with plenty to moan and groan about - brilliant!

see you later undertaker - in a while necrophile

So is this a collective decision for all games to kick off at different times, surely Leeds wouldn't choose a Saturday afternoon for this one?

They definitely wouldn't. Unless its a BBC pick I can't see why you would undermine club's earning potential like this. All the Saturday kick offs last year will have cost Leeds a fortune.

Saturday April 19: Leigh vs Warrington - 1.30pm

FFS, In what world are Huddersfield anyone's "rivals"?

Two opening games on a Saturday and this? The fixture planners clearly hate Leeds. 😉

At least Leeds are playing at home in the opening round and in the rivals round. Both are prime dates for bumper crowds. Salford are away for both.

Friday night is Rhinos night! Saturday afternoons are ######.

The full fixture lists are now live.

Only six home Friday night games for Leeds and four games (all traditionally bigger gates for Leeds) on Saturdays. That's really poor.

From the sounds of the press release, SL has tried to avoid having lots of games clashing at the same time, which is a good thing for TV audiences. But it feels like a short straw has been drawn here (probably because Leeds aren't told when they can and can't play by a football club).

Really hope Leeds don’t get a lot of saturday/sunday games, the odd few is fine but there were far too many for my liking last year.

6 games Friday night, 7 games spread across Thursday (2), Saturday (4) and Sunday (1). The Saturday games are a mixture of 1730 (2), 1500 (1) and 1430 (1) kick offs.

The last round of matches, we are against Wigan, is TBC.

I think there has been some comment towards the club being too weeknight focused in recent times, so I think it's a fair balance.

Probably been said but we, Leigh, appear in 7 Thursday fixtures!!! The day hated by fans/corporate etc and we appear in 7 of them considering there would be 52 an average would be 4/5 per club say 2 home and 2 away. Hope Sky are paying for this honour
