It just gets worse doesn't it? Payday loans, Jesus wept.

It's been common knowledge for a while. They've got 2 loans with them and also one with Funding Cash Advance Ltd/Funding Alternative Group Ltd....

Yikes.

Dario hasn’t replied to my emails yet @Oxford, but as you can see in the meantime I’ve spoken to Paul and he’s sorted us something out to keep us all going.

Nope.

It is exactly an issue that actual journalists should be looking into as it could actually be significant.

As best I understand it, the share issue was for membership of a community benefit society that owned the club.

When the fecal matter contacted the rotating blades the board of the cbs voted to sell the club to the current owners, from the sounds of it in pure desperation as they were praying for any hope of someone with money saving the club.

The legality of a cba selling assets/investments/etc based on a board vote, I have no idea.

Thank you Worzel.

I'm sure we all realise it's game over time whoever tries to help. As I've said it'd be nice to have it end NOW, and not to see all the angry posts on here and the media coverage which is all drama, crisis and imaginary rescues, while the organisation disintegrates before our eyes. And I've been at point now where even just being relegated would be rubbish because I really not sure I want any kind of SRD in SL anymore.

Sorry I can't say I do. I'd love to be able to say my memory's not what it was but it's never ever been any use to me at all. There were 4 classes in every year group which meant about 90-100 kids, so it'd be surprising if anyone could remember very many.

My memory is handy cos I never dwell too much on stuff. Now that SRD are about to cease being there this might become less of a blessing and curse and more of a godsend!

Yeah A stream, B stream, C stream and D stream in order of intelligence apparently. 3 terms in each year with top 2 promoted and bottom 2 relegated every term. They would never get away with that now. My long term memory is brilliant and I remember most of the people from school, and I still remember them when I see them now. On the other hand I can walk upstairs and forget what I went up for! Anyway - looks like Paul King has gone back to Salford now. I don't know why he would want to do that? I just hope they can keep going somehow, for the sake of the long suffering fans.

They do realise why they're in the mess in the first place, don't they? This mob being useless seems to have scrambled short term memory. WHAT A HERO!!!

Yeah it's no wonder people think there's something perfectly normal about P&R with such rubbish models to work from.

And if I was PK you wouldn't have seen my anus for the dust particles but I guess that's always been what marked him out. Though by saying that I might  be in for the rounds of the kitchen. In any case all the best CR!

It'd be like Peter Ridsdale or Ken Bates coming back to Leeds United!

As I said SRD and their fans might be better off out of all this for good, unless they like having their noses rubbed in it, on every occasion.

He has previously given PG for the debt. The new owners were meant to pay those off and haven't. It's why he is involved now to save his own skin,

Yeah it's really unreasonable that he's come back to help the team he loves, he should just lose the place he lives in like any good supporter. Hanging's too good for him!

I really hope he doesn't lose his house.

BUT he's the reason they're in this mess by taking out payday loans. It's not unreasonable for him wanting to come back, i think it's reasonable to discuss if it's right or if he should be allowed considering the above.

The "Dark Ages" is a term referring to life at the RFL under the new regime. It's characterized by a decline in openness, professionalism, transparency and  achievements,

All soccer teams are second rate, simple logic, they're not Rugby League!

Not quite. The current "financial wizardry" is a response to the pressures (self imposed or not) on the club over many decades of struggle for survival.  The  Black Knight of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Went once to a 'live' football game, 1967 Early rounds of the European Cup when United beat Waterford 7 - 1, and 'proper players' were on show Best, Law, Charlton, Kidd, Stiles, Crerand, Foulkes etc player's who didn't roll all over the floor if an opponent gave them a 'nasty look', it was described as a great game, but it didn't entice me to venture back, so back to Rugby League the following week, and ever since.

I've been to Villa, Birmingham, Derby, and Man U And it never was as good as the real thing and I say that as someone who's on the way out with his club.
