langpark Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Does anybody know what is happening with the Longhorns now? Is there a chance they will simply forfeit now due to the high costs involved? Have they announced anything? Hopefully they attempt it and put up a crowd funder, I'd be happy to support it, and hopefully other fans would be too.

Jack Payne is a quality halfback, Wests are a good side and include a variety of former London Skolars plus some famous surnames - Poching, Thorman. The better news for the home side was a good crowd - ~200 rather the usual 50 or so - and lots of folk interested in getting involved with the club in one way or another. Hoping Wests can get past Army/RAF and get a good draw in R3. 4 1

marklaspalmas Posted January 13 Posted January 13 So, the third round draw is taking place tomorrow. With only three first round ties played, 66 of the 69 clubs in this year's Challenge Cup will be in that draw. Normally, the third round draw would involve just 32 clubs. A bit chaotic. Wouldn't delaying the third round draw have been a good idea? https://www.fevarchive.co.uk/
Impartial Observer Posted January 13 Posted January 13 It will look a mess but imagine you are part of a community club in the draw and get a big SL club.

It won't count for much if you still have two games to win for it to become reality. I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.
