17 year old hooker playing for Villeneuve. The kid is seriously seriously special. The second youngest player in Super XIII and already one of the best hookers in the competition. Small player only around 5’3 but as insanely good defender, will one and one tackle players genuinely double his size with ease and can put on a big shot. In attack he reads the game very well, great passing game and deception out of dummy half. Very quick and dangerous running game. He plays way out of his years, you would think you’re watching a 25 year old watching him play but he still doesn’t turn 18 for 5 months.

He is one of the best 2007 born players in the world. He has world class potential in my opinion. Obviously a big issue is his size, which may be an issue at NRL or SL Level, but he is still only 17 and I’m sure he will grow plenty.

Are you his agent?

Just commenting on a good player as a lot of people do on this forum. Not everyday a 17 year old is starring agaisnt grown men in a semi-pro/pro comp.

5’4 is seriously small for top flight RL but like you say maybe he hasn’t stopped growing and can get to 5’6 at least.

Remind me how tall Rob Burrow was.

Maybe even taller hopefully, Men only stop growing at around 20, I’ve heard of a lot of people having late growth spurts where they grow 5+ inches after 17.

Yeah another solid performance, especially defensively, it amazes me how he can tackle 100+ kg front rowers with ease and drops them on their backs by himself. Very good organising in attack aswell and great deception.

Hopefully so.

Being 5’4 shouldn’t hamper his prospects and career if he has the talent but getting to at least 5’6 would make life so much easier for him.

Did he start or come on for the bench?

He is 1m 58, 60kg he started off the bench. He played really well and even put our aussie 6 foot 4 105 kg prop on his back best player in the world is a big statement,

I was speaking to his coach yesterday and he says he's special but doesn't think he can go much higher due to his height etc, but we all hope he can, you never know,

He reads the game well, he's smaller than guasch.

I’ve always thought France struggled in the pack is there any good props coming through

Tbf I think the op meant best player at this age group.

Was he on the French junior tour to Australia recently?

Adrien de la rose who is the youngest player in elite, he turned 17 last month,

Giovanni at the catalans is 18 and a good prospect too,

Even in his age group i reckon there may be a couple of Aussies a little better,

I am pretty confident he has grown since that last measurement. I didn’t say he is one of the best players in the world, I assume you’re referring to me saying he is one of the best 2007 born playrers. I think that is a fair comment, guys like Onitoni Large, Haemasi Makasini, Rex Bassingthwaite are better but he is not far behind.

I watch a lot of Junior Australian rugby league and Beauvilliers would without a doubt be one of the best players in Harold Matthew’s (U17s) comp. Let’s hope he grows because he undoubtedly has the skill set to go right to the top. As mentioned though Rob Burrow is an all time great at only 5’5 so anything is possible.

Really think these juniors should spend a couple of seasons down under in the Aussie youth competitions and reserve grade comps.

My son was at the creps school in Toulouse with him last season, he was chatting with him yesterday, he's still the same height, he may grow but he's never going to be tall,

Giovanni Desclazi-Ganthier 2006 Catalans

Adrian De La Rose 2007 Limoux

Sacha Kouassi 2005 Villenueve

 Alexis Lis 2005 Avignon

these guys are certainly the best front rowers coming through.

Came off the bench after about 15 minutes but then played the rest of the  game, that’s how Villeneuve use him most of the time. Similiar to Harry Grant for the storm in the past.

Sounds like good game management by villeneuve.xx
