agree with every word from the management style and players mentioned being their key 7/8 players. 
be interesting to see how they fare over the next 2/3 years as I see a real transition period coming, but will go down as one of the best amateur sides.

Amazing what can happen in a week. 
Hunslet losing jack and Craig McShane to dewsbury rams is a massive loss to them and the NCL. 
On top of losing rowse and Clarke (from what I’ve gathered by their fans on social media) I think they will be in a fight for the play off places- looks like thatto, lock lane and York have all strengthened, west hull pipeline as consistent as ever, and siddals line up looking the same as last season. Will be an interesting season in the prem. waterhead could also surprise a few sides

The start to the season might already make this clear - but make no mistake, we're in a fight to stay in the Prem. Never mind play offs. This was anticipated though, with the number of senior players calling it time and the likes of McShane brothers trying their arm in the pro ranks - long overdue I might add. And then there's the ones that have just jumped ship because they know it'll be hard period and they're not in for that. Money from other clubs might come in to play as well...if you believe the rumours. All that said, we knew this was a golden era for the club (long before the merger btw) - Hunslet Club Parkside have been a dominant force in the NCL for the past 8 years. And whilst we don't yet have the conveyor belt of talent coming through that the likes of Siddal and West Hull produce, the future is looking very bright at all ages and in every sense at the club.

Were the players that have jumped ship Hunslet products or have they gone back to the clubs they started at before been approached by Hunslet

 seen the results but looks, apart from Saturday, that Hunslet are still holding their own.  Noticed a few other players missing off the teamsheet against thatto who were a part of the final squads of recent years- Josh mcelland, Harry Dodd and Tyler dargan? Be a massive loss if any of them have also left. 
as for the Hunslet golden era, I have to agree it was long before the merger parkside were a great side, though from what I’ve seen over the last few years, the merger and addition of a handful of players from the warriors made them even better

Most were Hunslet juniors and 2 have played for us over 8 years. I wouldn't care to speculate why a couple of them had left, all I will say is you won't find a single player that's ever been paid to play for our club. The same can't be said for others.

Yeah the players you've mentioned are still all at the club. Just injuries and work commitments has seen a few missing recently.

Yeah that was a huge result for us - did not see it coming to be honest, as whilst we've been improving and at home still though Wests would have too much for us. The change of fortune overall is massively linked to our former prop and all round Mr Hunslet Jamie Fields returning back to the coaching set up. Lads will run through walls for him. We've also signed back on one of the lads who went to play for Dewsbury and a former youth player who's been at Bradford for past few years, George Rayner. If we can keep this group together then we'll be fine for staying up and hopefully keep the rebuild going with a good foundation. It's a bit of house of cards if Fieldsy was to step away again for any reason.

A good second half to the season, and looking at the table and games, based off season form, looks like it’s a shootout between yourself and Rochdale for the playoffs- need a result away at west hull on the final day to make sure it doesn’t go out of your hands, assuming you beat moor, will see if the big game Hunslet DNA is still running true

Yeah it has been mate - really pleased with how this season has panned out after a very shaky start, regardless of if we make play-offs. As you say, with no disrespect intended, we're expecting to beat Moor at home and hoping Mayfield slip up in one of their games. West Hull will do us no fabours and I don't blame them lol! Siddal are some side and we were pleased with the draw at the weekend - can't see past them for the overall title this year.

I was at the game Saturday and thought you were the better side and unlucky not to win! But as you said, I also can’t see past siddal at the minute. Very well drilled side.  No disrespect to mayfield who themselves have had a bit of a resurgence, but I hope you make the playoffs, will certainly give teams a scare after last year

We (Mayfield) have had a great run at the end of this season. West Hull Away in the first round of the play off's will be a very difficult game to win. At the end of it all i think that Siddal will be crowned. They have been the best of the teams that i have seen this season,

Was unsure where to post this, but this seems to be a dedicated Hunslet/NCL prem thread. 
seen that Hunslet have entered a side into the premier vegas 9s competition. What an experience, hope you put northern English rugby league on the map, and how an NCL can compete with semi pro and ex professional players. 
looking forward to seeing who’ll be in the squad as I think a few Hunslet players will be suited to the 9s format

Yeah it should be a great experience for them mate. It's mainly the younger lads in the team going and if they can stay off the p*ss night before games then they'll hold their own I reckon. A cracking trip however they go on - i'm not jealous about at all...promise. We got weekends in Scarborough when I was playing there

i know the lads going have one goal in mind and that is to play in the curtain raiser on the day of the main event. The prize money on offer if they do is not to be sniffed at as well.
