Full time. Hallam 7-0 Beverley Town. :kolobok_suicide:

It’s a lovely little ground at Hallam, and they’re getting big crowds these days too.

626 spectators at South Liverpool v Bury on Saturday, which is more than triple the club’s average attendance. Five straight league defeats in a row have left them perilously close to the relegation zone though.

Most following Bury, I imagine. Even in a city supposedly in love with football, South have always struggled for a crowd.

Beverley bounced back from that horrendous defeat and beat Parkgate at home on Saturday 4-1. There were 334 of us Beavers in attendance which was the 7th highest crowd in the country for step 5 of the pyramid.

The club are really growing now. We're fighting for the playoffs in our first ever season in division 9 and crowds are growing well year on year and by the end of next month we should have a second stand built at our ground.

Yes I’d imagine around 400 supporting Bury. The problem for South has always been the proximity of Liverpool and Everton, they used to get big crowds of several thousand back in the day but once Saturday morning working ceased being the norm it got easier for people to get to the North End to watch the big two and South’s crowds dropped off dramatically, never to recover.

Good top of the league battle in the Southern League yesterday between AFC Totton and Merthyr Town. it finished 1-1 in front of 2078 supporters. Totton would have won comfortably if they'd taken their chances, but that isn't to underplay the way Merthyr played, it was a good battling performance.

2,078 is fantastic for 7th tier, is that a normal crowd for Totton?

We average around 1300, which is the highest in the league, followed closely by Merthyr at 1100.

I remember Merthyr beating Atalanta in the UEFA Cup, or possibly the cup winners cup, it’s incredible to think about it now. Iirc (before my time) Bangor City beat Napoli as well.

First versus second in Isthmian North today as Brentwood Town take on perpetual bogey team Felixstowe and Walton United

A big game for Beverley Town today as we take on Pickering Town. 6th and 7th in the table, just outside the playoffs, if we win this then we still have a good chance of getting into the top 5, if we lose then the chance is probably gone.

It's gonna be a nice sunny day down Norwood Park, should be a decent crowd and a real party atmosphere, C'MON BEAVERS!!

Beaver till I die! I'm a Beaver till I die! I know I am, I'm sure I am, I'm a Beaver till I die!! BEVERLEY!! BEVERLEY!!

That was in the late 80s when English clubs were banned from Europe. They have great fans despite having a reputation (which is unjustified). I have always found them to be friendly and a good laugh.

C'mon Beavers!!

A very scrappy game, very few shots from either side but we managed to get the win with a close range tap in after a scramble to take it 1-0!! Playoff hopes are still very much alive!

424 in attendance.

The top of the Isthmian North clash at Brentwood today was possibly the weirdest game I have ever seen. It was nil nil at halftime with Brentwood dominating. A three goal lead would not have been out of keeping with the number of chances created, but it took a very soft penalty to take the lead. Felixstowe then almost immediately equalised before taking the lead through an even softer penalty. The referee hadn't finished there and almost on full-time gave a third penalty again to Brentwood. On another day with another referee I am not sure any of them would have been given. Brentwood then retook the lead with a scrambled goal in injury time. But still it hadn't ended as Felixstowe also put the ball in the back of the net in another goal mouth scramble with virtually the last kick of the game. This one, however, was disallowed for offside despite it looking like there being a couple of Brentwood players on the goal line. The 3-2 win sees Brentwood go top for the first time with eight games to go. Crowd was 746, almost three times what we normally get

I'll be under the lights at Norwood Park for Beverley Town v Rossington Main tonight in the quarter finals of the NCEL League Cup!

And the Beavers beaver onto the semi-finals of the League Cup!!

Our star winger, Luka Saluburik scored a 16 minute, first half hattrick to take us in 3-0 at the break. We took it to 4-0 early in the 2nd half before Rossington had a go at a fight back with 4 goals being scored in the last 20 minutes to see a pretty crazy game end 5-3!

C'mon you Beavers!! 🦫

Beverley Town have announced this evening that our new stand will be opened on Saturday before our home game that afternoon! When I was a kid I would never have thought of a stadium ever getting built in my hometown.

A teaser of our new stand before it is unveiled by the boxer Tommy Coyle before our game tomorrow! So excited to see it!

How many does it hold?

Its gonna have about 50 seats in the centre of the stand and then standing areas either side of that. It will bring our seated capacity up to 106 and our entire capacity just over 1,000.
