will start with 3

1 -although most of the competitions were sponsored by tobacco companies how come they never gave away any free fags with a kids season ticket?

2- teams wearing the same kit and team colours home and away unless there was a kit clash - madness!

3- Australian internationals signing for our clubs during their  off season then going back home just cos it suits them - the cheek of it!

Who was that trialist?

They should have put the floodlights on by now

Which team are we? Why didn't they put clean shirts on at half time?

Etc

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

I wish they’d hurry up and finish building the M62.

The M62 has ruined the magic of an away day getting lost down some Pennine donkey track.

For extra geek points.... the M62 was previously the A62 (just two lanes) and going back a few aeons, an old pack trail. So you are closer than you might realise.

Why are we kicking off at 3.30, in midwinter, when the floodlights are rubbish?

[For the benefit of York fans: floodlights are pylons with bulbs on top]

Erm... nope, A62 is a seperate road and still runs from Manchester to Leeds South of the M62, historically the A62 was the main route between Lancashire and Yorkshire until the motorway was opened it was numbered as M62 as it paralleled the A62 much as the M6 is numbered due to it following the route of the A6.

Here is a history of the M62 construction which at no point ever mentions the A62 in decisions about choosing the route.

Thanks, I was aware of that. I maybe should have specified that the M62 wasn't built directly on the A62. But it was the primary road from West Yorks to Lancs nonetheless.

If only the ref could go and look at the TV and watch the replay he'd bloody well change his mind.

Shouldn't play 'A' team games, there's already too many games with the cups and league games, think of the players recovery periods after a shift darn 't pit.

I came on the forums today hoping to find some gossip about why Jordan Abdull has left Hull FC and ended up reading about the M62 and its relatationship with the A62.  It's a funny old world 🤣
