Can't you have both? Munster will score less during Origin, so if you don't want both, do it.

No, I have Metcalf with Munny and he has served me well.

Then I would go to Campbell. Thinking of dumping Munster myself - ironically, probably for Metcalf.

I may hang on. Surely Munster is due a big score. Between Origins would be a good time. I’ve given him strict instructions to improve his effort and performance. To be fair I’ve said the same to the whole squad.

That didn't really work, did it? 57 doesn't count as big where Munster is concerned.

For the first time this season I have made no trades this week, due to a hectic work schedule rather than a conscious decision.

Just checked my team and they are averaging 90+ per player without my interference.

*note to self* sit on your hands and stop tinkering could be the best policy. 🤣

"Rugby League is rugby in the simplest form in the sense that it's about great defence, great tackling technique, good handling, good passing, catching and great kicking."

No. My other Storm players outscored him. I’ve told him to meet me in my office on Tuesday morning.

Unfortunately he will be in camp with the Maroons on Tuesday. Also, Campbell scored feebly, so keeping Munster was the correct decision.

What a high scoring season Supercoach 2025 is. The flex player does seem to have helped bump up the average. Still our league is competing well to a high standard, currently the 470th ranking.

Let’s see how we are doing as we are about 3/5 of the way through the season.

Round 16 Fixtures with results:

IMG-3973.jpg
So many solid 1300+ scores this round. Chris and his Edge’s Ledges team are mentioned in dispatches this week as the only one to break the 1400 point barrier. Well done Chris.

How do these results affect our league standings?

HEAD2HEAD After Round 16

Nelson is leading the pack with Lesley sticking in there in second. Jigh and Airlie are keeping them honest.
I must say despite my lowly position I am enjoying the basic mechanics of the game in that I’m developing my team and seeing progress, despite it not being reflected in the league.

TOTAL POINTS After Round 16

IMG-3971.jpg
IMG-3972.jpg

It’s a close contest at the top with Nelson, Jigh, Michael Airlie and Oliver all with totals over 20,000. Then it’s a close run thing all the way down to 16th! Stuart Terry and me are hanging in there.

Guess who brought Bostock in for R16? He came highly recommended!

Now if I was in your position what I would do is sell to Karapani saving 320k that can bolster the team elsewhere.

I'm missing it Corinthian Cats will dayboo next season🤣

Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

It will be excellent to have you back. Bostock to Karapani sounds like a wise move.

One of my hookers is a forced change with Luke Metcalf having copped a season ending injury after he’d served me well.

I thought it best to change hi this week although it wasn’t an absolute necessity as it’s a 13 to score bye week.

I am in full POD mode now, desperately hoping to make up positions on the overall ladder. Anyone for Connor Tracey, A J Brimson and Latu Fainu?

Posted (edited)

Given the bye round that was and the cumulative effect of Origin and byes recently I reckon all those who scored over 1000 points that round deserve to be mentioned in dispatches.

Here goes then… well done

Nelson

Airlie

Damien

Marge and

James

I notice that second and third in our points ladder are separated by just 5 points!

Mindst you, Marge and Jigh in 6th and 7th are only separated by 2 points.

As we enter the later stages of the comp then there are many close calls up and down the ladder and it’s all to play for.

Good luck all.

Enjoy your SC

How are you placed for this mini bye round?

Have you a full17 (or 18) on the park?

I have.

Anyone bringing in Cleary this week? Maybe next week?

Now’s the time to be making sure you have your keepers in place following the Origin and byes period in the run in. How are you doing on that front?

I have 18 so long as Munster plays. I will have to use 2 trades, but Cleary is only 50/50 to play after Origin, so he won't be coming in to my team this week.

Jacob Kiraz might be, though.
