But more bizarrely, if they are saying 85k sales so far, with 70 of that being Everton & Headingley - only 15k for Wembley. I know there is time to sell it but that is shocking

I think we need a bit of perspective here.  Imagine if a month ago we said:  Wembley will sell 15,000 tickets in 10 days of priority sales, before tickets go on general sale and with more than 6 months before the match.  That is still positive, it's just that it's been dwarfed by the success of the Everton and Headingley matches.

Tickets available say Wembley is at least double that and the South will probably not have pre registered in the same numbers. London is simply too expensive for many these days

Dragons was the Friday teatime game. Aside from when Warriors given that slot (which is prime time in NZ) they tend to select the lesser games of the weekend for that slot so double jeapordy.

Are you giving the Dragons a pass for a crowd of 8,510?

That's a real story of 2 halves

Firstly, excellent news on Everton sales - a really smart choice of stadium that has really paid off

Would have loved this new era Ashes final game being played at St.James Park.

Wish the Dragons just move to WIN full time waste of a lovely picturesque stadium.

Anyone desrves a pass for a friday teatime game. They really are for Foxtel viewers only and that some teams get more of them than others seems a bit rough to me. In looking at crowds over the season perhaps worth comparing thursday night games with home teams other crowds at the same venue.

Of course Id exclude Warriors from that.

15k for Wembley in 10 days is brilliant

We’ve sold out the final 2 tests. All we have to market now for 6 months is the 1st test at Wembley. We can do wonders in that time.

I think sub 10k crowds are simply unacceptable (venue permitting) in this day and age of the NRL no matter the timeslot. But opinions are like bumholes, everyone has one.

So what is the NRL record for a regular match?  Probably a full house in Brisbane, 52,500, or when they played at ANZ stadium in the late 90s early 2000s i think their capacity was closer to 60k.

15k is a decent number after 10 days. Almost the number we got on average v Samoa and Tonga. So long way to go

I know they’re not published, not that half the championship or league one publish any more either; but does anyone know any NCL or French attendances this season, or the sort of crowds that any teams in those leagues are drawing in?

I follow Elite 1 pretty closely and I don't think I have ever seen an exact figure posted for one of their matches.  Albi seem to be the best supported club at the moment, often posting the round figure of 2000 for their home matches.

NCL clubs will occasionally put announce a crowd figure, but not often:

There were over 3,000 at the Pia/St Esteve league game yesterday. Over 5,000 at the cup final last week in Narbonne. Albi brought over 2,000 to the semi at Toulouse two weeks ago where Carcassonne only brought 500 or so.

There is a lot of variation.  As preid said, there were some big crowds recently, but most games tend to get just a few hundred.  And on a really bad day, I have watched games where it seemed like it was just the girlfriends and parents of the players there.  So it can vary quite a bit.

A decent promo here by Halifax for their Good Friday "derby" with Bradford.  But I can't help but feel they are selling themselves short.  They are top of the league and undefeated!  How long has it been since they have been in that position?  Why are they not shouting that from the rooftops?

It's about 59-60k when Souths played Roosters in the final round of the season in 2013. Winner won minor premiership. Roosters won.
