And people who know how to bring a positive vibe to a sport, in negotiation time with a major broadcaster...

Remarkable what professionals can do isn't it.

Maybe. Or, according to the article above, Vegas. Brought to us by the initiative of 2 world class clubs, one of whom is marketing the world record breaking Ashes series. Though I notice that the sun was shining when I was out earlier, and I don’t remember it doing so before IMG came along… 😇

Don't the Saints fans get an entire stand to themselves?  So hopefully no need to lose any seats, for the sake of segregation.

They do, but not for segregation purposes, there is never segregation at The Brick.

Dave Whelan "In Wigan rugby will always be king"

Hopefully it is driving increases in income because the clubs are largely broke, but the caveat would be that replacing London with Wakey probably accounts for a large part of that.

When do we get the gold standard of @RayCee's figures?

Or perhaps you are. It isn’t me who ascribes any slither of good news regardless of context to the people who gave us the assessment system that lead to SL25 featuring an exciting new “Which Salford this week?” quiz game 😂😂😂

So your saying that it's a complete coincidence that IMG have targeted growth in certain areas and added those as scoring metrics towards SL participation and all of a sudden those metrics have increased drastically?

Also did clubs even bother with social media prior to IMG.

Finally it's not been mentioned that games on terrestial TV will definatly have increased viewership and therefore social media following

7,800 at Wakefield Trinity tonight!

Poor showing from Cas, it’s about 6 miles from Cas to Wakefield and they brought about 600 over

I'm delighted for Catalan. They have been treated disgracefully by Sl and the Clubs.

Hopefully they can retrieve some of the additional money, they have had to spend on opponents / officials travel.

To be fair it’s not long since Wakey were getting terrible attendances, Cas are in the doledrums.

I’m amazed they’re allowed to keep any gate receipts.

Over 65,000 at the Bulldogs v Rabbitohs.

Impressive.

What happened with the 80,000 projections and with A$10 tickets it brings in less than Hull v Kr game - typical cheap cons

The Wigan derby at LSV would smash that.

The allocation being a sell out is a strange choice of words.

I think it's because it will be a double header with a women's CC semi-final.

We don't even know who all the quarter-finalists are for that yet, but I assume they will have held some tickets back for any fans of those clubs who want to be there.

Sydney media always go over the top but 65,000 is brilliant.

This is very encouraging, crowds are up 11.3% on 2024 and that is before this weekend's expected record-breaking round.

Should had stated that it had 12 pro teams compared to Rugby Unions Guinness Premiership.

The A$10 tickets were only for some specific seats, in the last few days. Regular price is A$49 in the lower tier - pretty similar to the UK.

Shouldn't be comparing ourselves to RU - it doesn't help attract fans at all.

Can you please stop interfering with my Con wind ups as we head towards the Ashes
