Is it me, but the only team that LL supports according to the media is  Manchester United. He never seems to mention his passion for the Wire anymore, Plus the Warrington Wolves badge now seems to be missing from his darts uniform

Will he be actually turning up for the Catalans game?

It's you

Stade Paul Barriere would be a good name for Les Dracs' ground in Perpignan.  Always good to recognise a visionary for the international game; there are so few of them about!

Maybe it’s certain sections of the media and not Luke littler because I’ve seen many pieces on him talking about his support and love for Warrington Wolves.

as for him turning up for the Catalan game I’d suspect he will unless he’s involved in a darts tournament.

He parading his world Darts trophy so he will be there.

He may not, but we do.

Indeed - that was precisely my point.

Luke Littler stadium, pics of Luke Littler, interviews with Luke Littler. I'm not sure we're getting very much here at all.

Hang on,  @gingerjonwill soon correct us on all this. We're more popular and bigger than Darts,  so it is all for Luke Littler's benefit, minor celeb at SL game boosts image!🤪

It will be the biggest crowd Littler will have been in front of for a while.

Now name another darts player that you could do this for and it not seem naff.

Leeds Rhinos and United are doing a joint Sky Sports piece before our opener too, with players of the latter coming to the game as well. We've also paraded trophies at Elland Road at half time in the past.

I really don't see the issue with this. National media profile and being in the conversation is important and something the sport sorely lacks.

True, only Littler could have this effect, absolutely. But that's hardly the point,  Warrington CEO and people on here excited because of what his presence does for SL, not the other way round.

Agree, it's a good news story,  top notch innovation by the game at last. But for our benefit not Littler's,  this puts in perspective where the two sports stand in the eyes of Joe Public.

Again. Precisely my point. A coming together of equals (ish). Let's do more of that.

But I bet Leeds aren't re-naming Headingley as Elland Road for the occasion. It's the balance that is completely off with this LL stuff.

Yet another poster here is claiming Littler is getting the benefit!

I don't necessarily see why Luke Littler is a secret weapon for RL. I also don't see why Warrington celebrating him this way is upsetting some RL fans.

He's a young guy from Warrington who literally became the world champion in his sport last month. Due to the nature of his individual sport, and the fact there aren't any PDC events in Warrington, the opportunity for a 'homecoming' isn't really there, so Warrington RLFC (of whom he is a long time fan) have stepped in and seen the opportunity to sell a few hundred extra tickets for a fixture that is usually a harder sell.

It won't be the difference between RL launching into the stratosphere, and we also aren't selling our entire heritage to one bloke.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

I think that’s being missed or hard to accept by some.

More than happy to accept that Luke Littler is the draw in the story over and above Warrington.

Now, how would it be if Wigan did something with their biggest fan drawn from the PDC ranks.

Didn't he and Michael Smith do the Challenge Cup draw for one of the rounds last year? I don't remember it having much of an effect or destroying the legacy of the cup.
