Maybe ,not too easy to tell first game but I just thought they were dreadful bar that noah booth

It's all about opinions - I've seen far more inept Championship performances at CP in the last few years than Hunslet managed.

Several of them by Barrow sides unfortunately.

Brad is third choice kicker. He knows that, and will be fully aware kicking isn’t one of the best parts of his game

But he knocked 5 over today and got himself 2 meat pies

Why have you decided to focus on the negatives?

Negative! If it was a closer game we’d of been fukd with him kicking to win the game 🙄

You've certainly got an axe to grind,  we traveled down from the west to watch the game yesterday and felt Barrow won at a canter.  2 out of 3 of us had Brad as man of the match.   Why are you so consistently negative about him?  You're on a fan's forum I would suggest your there under false pretenses, what's your problem?

He was my mom too he looks to have slimmed down this season and seems better for it. IMO Shaw can’t just be put back in the team for his goal kicking when he offers little else.

Brad Walker is the current goal kicker because Ryan Shaw and Ryan Johnson have been injured. I get the feeling he's reluctant to take the conversions because he hasn't the longest distance or the best accuracy, but he's the best we've got right now. Certainly his kick-offs, his touch-line kicking, his 5th play high/deep kicks and his nifty short through balls for others to score from are all 1st class. Plus he scores tries. This subject also begs the question, would you select Ryan Shaw over Toal, Teare and Broadbent, because he's a great goal-kicker? Hhmmmm....

Few people in and around the popular side near me seem to have the same problem with Brad and I just don't get it. Finished last season well, controls games, decent kicking game. Missed a few conversions and all on his case. I had him as MOM. Goal kicking we have been spoilt having shaw for years so anyone stepping in now is going to look poor. Was also more of a breeze than people probably realised.

If’s and but’s. It wasn’t a closer game because Brad got 18 of our 38 points himself

Unfortunately we have a section of the supporter base who love to criticise constantly no matter what it is, absolutely embarrassing that a player who got 18/38 points and a few people's MOM is getting stick on a fans forum following a convincing win.

Same stuff every season. Lose a few games people call for Cresta to be sacked and we need a 'full time coach', club does an incentive to increase crowds they get bashed for ripping off season ticket holders and the board needs replacing, Brad Walker does a couple of things wrong he's rubbish etc etc.

I've just learned to ignore it.

Brad is improving with every game. Solid player now.

Didn't look interested during the warm up. Sad after making the Championship. Hope they can compete.

Talking to a guy in Leeds yesterday who, as part of his involvement with rugby league in the city, has seen Hunslet train. Doesn't think much of their sessions. Went along to Craven Park as a neutral. Barrow's forwards, in particular, were so much bigger than Hunslet's. By the final hooter, I was left wondering if Hunslet might go through the entire 2025 season without winning a Championship game.

If your a barrow player you don't want to be a halfback , odd obsession with attacking our halves .

Brad's filled a hole and by his own admittance he's a LF and prefers playing there ,I could understand it if he was consistently bad but it's far from that .

Sure he got grief after the York game last season when he actually won the game with a DG ,really odd behaviour.

Think in the long term the idea is to move brad to LF and partner johnno with bishop ,but sadly circumstances are preventing that

Along with a few here I also thought Brad was MOM, as for the goal kicking he’s probably 3rd choice and I’m only really remembering him missing the touchline kicks, if he’s getting 80% from inside the 10m tramlines on both sides he’s going ok
