The Hull press are stating Lane to Cas on a 4 year deal for 2026.

I can’t see Hull fans being that bothered, but at the same time he has put a fair shift in for them in a very challenging era.

I’ve always thought there’s a decent player in him, I think it’s a good move for FC, Cas (if it’s sensible money) and Jordan Lane.

One of those rare occasions where all sides are happy.

Yeah good business all round I think. He has probably stagnated a little bit in recent years and I think the change will be really good for him, especially playing in the same city as his brother. He also gets to play for a really good coach who played his position at the highest level.

Saints get to clear the decks and begin a bit of a rebuild to a squad that probably needs a freshen up. Hull get a really good, experienced player that is better than the guy he's replacing.

Wins all round.

Hull Live reporting that Hull FC have signed Connor Bailey from York for 2026. Don't know alot about him tbh, do any of you close followers of the Championship have any thoughts on him?

So whilst none have been confirmed officially by the club, that's Batchelor, Bell and Bailey all reportedly signed. All backrowers. Although Bailey is perhaps more of a project signing than a plug and play Super League starter.

Bailey came through Wakefield's Academy and made his SL debut (against Hull FC alongside another debutant Yusuf Aydin) in 2020.  Was a halfback back then though.  Out on loan to Newcastle and never came back. When Newcastle went boobs up he went to York.

Nice little collection of ex Trin products over on Humberside.

Batchelor, Ruan and Kershaw on the East,

Eseh, Bailey and Aydin on the West.

connor bailey is a very good backrower with size and pace , works hard and certainly can tackle, will slot in with batch in the backrow no probs , our loss your gain.

Harvie Hill from Wigan to Hull FC https://13v13.com/hullfc/

Another really good signing. He's not the finished product yet but he's got bags of potential and when you sign a player who has come through at Wigan you know you are getting someone who has had attitude and professionalism drilled into him from day one.

The rumours of Will Pryce are picking up pace too. Ive seen a couple of people who are not often wrong saying he will be the next one announced.

Good signing, suprised Wigan have let him go

I think it's fair to say he hasn't really kicked on as anticipated. Last year was a bit of a step back and despite being our best performer in pre-season he just hasn't shown enough to get himself into the first team.

In previous years we'd probably try to keep him for another year with a 'wait and see' approach but with negotiations happening earlier now I think it's a case of he's currently not as valuable to Wigan as he would be at numerous other clubs looking to get an edge. When you start experiencing success the salary cap starts to squeeze.

I hope he does fulfil his potential though. Hull look to be building something good and he should get more first team opportunities.

Personally, I'm gutted Hill is leaving. Props mature later and I think he'll be a very good player in time. I look at Oliver Wilson at Huddersfield and he's improved year on year and is now really kicking on. He's very nearly 25 years old, whereas Hill is 21 and like Wilson, he will need the game time to kick on. He'll get the at Hull, so fair play to him.

I don't think it'll be a case of Wigan 'letting him go' but more that he's decided to go, so he gets guaranteed minutes and better pay.

As said probably Hill was probably our best forward pre season. First game v Leigh he was disappointing and dropped in the 2nd game for Sam Walters. Walters is only a year or so older than Hill. Trouble for Hill is Walters has been excellent and is almost cemented in the 17. Wigan also have the option of moving Ellis back to prop if needs be with young Kerr going in at 13.

Hill has left for 2026. Eseh and Chan are out on season long loans so their future will be an interesting watch.

Kerr looks like he could be something special from the bits I've seen. Brad O'Neill might see some time at 13 as well, which would allow Ellis to spell in at prop if they needed him to. If they don't do that, then I'd imagine we'll see Tom Forber exit the club as well.

Seen some rumours from usually reliable sources that James Harrison has signed for Hull FC, with a fee being paid. If true we are starting to put together a very exciting pack.

Ese'ese, Hill, Harrison, Aydin, Ashworth, Batchelor, Bell, Bailey, Cartwright, Asiata, maybe Sao depending on how his recovery goes, maybe Eseh, Salabio? A lot of quality there, and a good mix of experience and a few guys with their best years ahead of them. If the Will Pryce rumours are true and if we can add a quality centre aswell then I think we will have a side who can really have a crack at it next season.

Rumour that Morgan Gannon, out of contract this year, is being offered a 3 year deal by the (New Zealand) Warriors where Richard Agar, the coach who gave him his debut, is an assistant.

If I were him I'd struggle to not go. If I were the Rhinos I'd try offer some serious cash or a first negotiation clause should he return here.

Injuries aside he is real quality and probably the best player to come out of the Leeds academy for 10 years?

Real gutter for Leeds if Gannon goes, especially after the patience they've shown with his head knocks. He has looked excellent so far this year.

Its a really really difficult position for the lad.

Ultimately unless Leeds offer him a contract at least as valuable after tax (which there must be some cap dispensations etc available to increase it further), then if I were him I would go. It's a short career, as Stevie Ward found it could be very short. "Young Jack Walker" was the next big thing at one point and now look. Financially he needs to consider his situation.

He's also young enough that he could take this opportunity and come back and still be only 25. The opportunity to have an NRL stint under your belt, almost certainly more international caps too including a 2026 World Cup place must be tempting.

I think the club (Leeds) needs a bit of a statement and vision. BA has turned things around but it does feel like he is going to be here only on a short term basis. That works for some players but for someone like Gannon he needs to be sold a more longer term vision for the club and how success will come to him here. Its a shame really that his contract is up when it is, with a further year the situation would probably be a bit easier for the club to manage.
