Real good half from Wakefield. With the wind at their backs in the 2nd I would almost say advantage them.

That's been a fair old end to end tussle.

KR probably could have challenged that, Jowitt gotta hold onto the ball better than that for me.

Yeah I would have given a knock on there tbf.

40'' after KR giving a pen, Powell tells Jowitt to go for 2, which is does meaning the half time score is Trin 2-6 KR

Can somebody please explain that last penalty to me? Broadbent didn’t have a moving limb anywhere near the ball

If Captain’s Challenges are for anything, they’re to address incompetent decisions like that 🤬

Good half. Rovers looking good in the forwards, Wakefield backs causing us alot of problems.

I was surprised when a penalty was given, and more surprised that you didn't challenge it.

Jowitt and Pratt have performed well I think for Trin, hoping that Pitts Isn't too knocked by his shoulder

It looked like it'd be all HKR in the opening minutes, but we have a proper close game.

Don’t we get one per half, so no risk of even just giving it a go anyway? Minchella had a bit of a head freeze there if so

It was a 50/50, it wasn't that bad. I don't think it would have been overturned in a challenge, Broadbent had his hands and head in there even if debatable whether he pulled it out.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

1 per match isn't it?

Fancy Wakey to win this one

Really? If the wind is in our favour in the 2nd maybe but we need to be more potent in offensive

I assume the ref thought that the defender had spent too long ontop of Jowitt and then the ball came out - but I agree it should have been a knock on, but can only blame your captain for not challenging it 😉

And as Lucy says - it is one per match (if you lose your challenge) but it resets in GP if the game gets to that point.

I don't think more than a penalty, but more dickheadry by Lewis.

Lewis couldn’t handle been tackled by young Pratt. Going to be a superstar young Pratt.

Hull KR dominated for much of that half but they will be worried they didnt put any more points on the board.

You have to credit the Trinity defence. It’s much better drilled than 2023.

Thoroughly enjoyed that, 2 fairly evenly matched sides, KR dominated position at times but Wakey held and worked hard to geg away from the line.

Love seeing Wakey not afraid to attack wide early, their right side in particular looks full of pace and can see them scoring that side.

He looks absolute quality, both attacking and defensively. How old is Pratt the younger?

After a couple of the games I watched last week taking an absolute age (Catalans v Hull in particular) it was nice to watch a half of rugby that zipped along. The ball rarely seemed to be out of play.

Yeah they have defended well but just have a feeling its only a matter of time before they break. Wakey look decent out wide but not really earning the right to spread the ball as their forwards are pretty ineffective.

Peters may be concerned about how easily Wakey were getting away from their own line when KR should have had them penned in.
