Impressed with the way Wigan bounced back after last week. I was expecting our start to be a bit of a slow burner but we looked pretty sharp tonight.

I think Hull will do better this year but I don't think they have the depth to cope with missing players and possibly there's  not a lot of resilience there at the moment. When they move the ball with pace they still have enough to trouble teams as they showed against Catalans.

If you say so. Wigan would have stuck 70 on us last year with this performance.

With respect, that wasn’t difficult last season. It was a free hit, a bye in Aussie terms.

Wigan weren’t great tonight. It was a very low intensity performance.

Hull players believing the hype that they are better than they are. It's going to be another long season for the black and whites..with Oliver Holmes sat on the sidelines for most of it !!

I'm sure that's not the case. I have no doubt Hulls players know exactly where they are. You don't just transform and become a much superior team in a few months.

Sir,

My point being Leigh played a fabulous team last week away and that team could not only score a try but couldn't win at home.

I think your point should be directed to as to why you are beaten at home.

Well tonight's game was not good for Hull and Wigan were in 2nd gear

I don't think that's the case

I was really surprised by that. We looked really good. FC were such a disappointment, with only the endless FASHination of the mullet master to provide entertainment.

It takes wisdom to know when a discussion has run its course.

It takes reasonableness to end that discussion.

Hull fall for the Wigan scrum Field try that Wigan have used quite a few times (some fail) and worked to perfection

Old fashioned 'cloths line' required from a good No 13.

It's almost like every game is different. A terrible Hull team beat Wigan last season too. Leigh are a better side than Hull and played very well last week, but Wigan were miles better tonight than last week. If Wigan attacked like that last week Leigh wouldn't have close to them either. It would have likely been closer than this granted, but still.

Hull play Wigan in the cup in a few weeks. Maybe that game will be completely different, because its sport and no two games are the same.

Great plan, let's play with 12 men.

No, Wigan could bring a sub on!

Correct, but Hull are still down to 12 men.

If that is Wigan playing at a very low intensity then we may as well just call it a year and give them all the trophies now.

Nothing shows how to celebrate a good crowd better than a sold out sign each week.

But we'll done to fc putting a two tickets for a tenner deal on its gonna be hard to get the stay away fans back.

Couldn't attend tonight (promised the kids I'd take them to the wrestling and didn't check the fixture schedule when I bought the tickets 🙈)

Reading through this thread, Wigan were either red hot on the back of their shock defeat last week and Hull just couldn't keep up, or Hull are still absolutely dreadful and Wigan didn't have to do much.

It's interesting which people are suggesting the latter.
