As long as the heritage players don't take over, this could help improve skill levels across the team.

Personally think for the good of the game should stick to English born players.
Packing the team with Aussie NRL players who are eligible heritage wise is a short term fix not a long term solution

Womens Super League needs stronger teams

Its now basically 4 top clubs so need Warrington to show more ambition to maybe make that 5 and Hudds, Leigh et al to keep pushing on

it'll take time and patience

For me, it’s not all doom & gloom.

I know what’s coming through and there are some gifted athletes who are real talents. Not on the scale as in the NRLW though.

When I see Amelia Brown and Ebony Stead for example they are what England need to push through.

Let’s not forget Caitlin Beevers, Leah Burke, Tara Jane Stanley & possibly Fran Goldthorp could be available at next years World Cup.

There is definitely a shortage of big powerful props though, let’s hope we see some emerge in the coming season.

We need to elevate the standard across the board, so I’m very comfortable selecting any committed quality heritage players. They have to show a level of commitment to England, as the men’s heritage players have.

The top 4 clubs need to elevate standards as well. The quality of play and fitness is substandard. The bar needs to be raised across the board

The coach needs to be able to identify players who have what it takes, a perfect example i would say is ex Warrington now Huddersfield forward Grace Burnett.

She is only 22 and probably is still a year or 2 away from her peak but in terms of her physique there aren’t many like her in WSL.

I’d be fast tracking her into the international setup.

Really hoping Jazz Rampton steps up for York Valkyrie too, she could be a real star this season.
