Incredible turnaround that may have won a few quid for some people! Shame it wasn’t on the proper BBC channels as it turned in to a cracker for the neutral

Not quite Salford 1996, but a sizeable shock all the same

So we're 6 games into the new season and we've now equaled the number of SL teams we've beaten, + a draw and a cup win over amateur opposition to boot.

Literally night and day. It surely isn't down to just a new coach? There must have been a lot going on since a change of ownership and management.

All Hail Richie Myler????

Oh dear oh dear. 😄

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

One here.

And another one here. Genuine excuse: visiting family. Amazed at result.  Well done Hull FC. There have been some outstanding results,  cup and league, this season.  Thank goodness we're having a club led review of the sport to stop this sort of thing happening.

I had no real reason but thought the game was done so prioritised Great Britain's glorious victory in the IHF Emerging Nations semi final against the USA.

Not saying Hull were right to shout at ref but Wigan question everything against them. Harry Smith in most games is a prime example

There is the difference between questioning by one player, and having 13 blokes from the same team running and shouting at the ref at every decision.

We aren't football.

Well, what to say about that. I just had a gut feeling that we had a chance today. I expected Wigan to run out of gas at some point. The question was could we stay in the game long enough for it to be a factor. After 20 minutes the answer appeared to be no. We got a little foothold towards half time, but on the whole I thought the first half was the worst half of rugby we've played so far this year. Very little good to say about it.

The second half was a totally different story. The link between Asiata and Sezer was machine like and on the back of that we were able to really play some eye catching stuff. The two young wingers are going to be stars. Everything you want from a modern winger and it wouldn't surprise me to see both of them in England colours in the near future.

It's incredible the improvement we've made in such a short space of time and I'm so excited about where we can go. Bringing Cartwright over is looking to be a masterstroke.

Hull richly deserved that. Not seen half like that from Wigan in a long time.

Why no games on TV ?

i put that defeat down to matty peet bad enough that we lost field but to break up our halves was a bad move from the moment french went to fullback we offered nothing.

My thoughts also. Wigan did not handle having to reshuffle well at all.

Great effort from Hull to come back in the way they did though.

Great 2nd half comeback by Hull, congrats to them. Wigan may have several injury issues going forward. Not sure we managed injury situation positionally - Eckersley has played well at full-back, so why break up the Smith/French connection?

Eckersley to fullback, Keighran to wing (limping as is), Farrell to centre and Walters to backrow is probably a bigger reshuffle rather than Keighran, Farrell and Walters all just pushing out one spot. It’s also a weaker set up defensively against Hull’s go to edge. With Farrell’s outside being threatened you need a winger who can actually move. They tried solving it in the last five minutes by swapping Marshall over there, but even he jammed for the last try because he had no faith in Farrell being able to map across.

If it’s the start of the game maybe it’s a different question, but up by 16 at half time you probably want a stronger defensive edge and back yourself to defend the lead.

Recruited reasonably well for this year, albeit at a risk to the next year or two (in terms of paying overs/longer contracts than you’d like). But also you’ve got some great kids who are a year older and also surrounded by more experience also.

Thought Hull were outstanding in that second half.

Wigan looked arrogant and thought they had it in the bag IMO, glad they got what they deserve.

In reality, it was Hull FC who got what they deserved.

Definitely shouldn't take anything away from Hull, the way they kept going and took a grip on the game was really impressive. Not many players show up French and Marshall like Martin did.

On this subject, I think Myler had a clear plan about what he wanted to do. We know we've got a great crop of young players coming through. Phase one of recruitment was all about getting some experience around them. Rapana, Sezer, Hardaker, Asiata, Briscoe. Guys that we know full well only have a couple of good years left in them, but who have seen everything there is to see and can nurture and develop the young talent around them. Cartwright has spoken very highly about Hardaker's involvement for example. How good he is with the young players. Not only is he vastly experienced on the field, he is also not afraid to talk openly about his past issues and is keen on making sure no one goes down the path he took. Stuff like that is underrated in a team environment.

Phase two is about integrating the young players fully into the first team and supplementing that with some quality. Martin and Barron already look like quality SL players, and guys like Moy and Balmforth are developing nicely. Then we've got Hutchinson who has played a couple of times and just signed an extension. Litten and Charles who are injured currently but very highly thought of. The Kemp twins and Ryan Westerman who really impressed in pre season and will no doubt get some first team rugby this year. Thats the future of the club.

We've already signed Batchelor and Bell. Will Pryce and Toby King are also getting talked about as done deals in some circles. A few more signings of that calibre alongside those kids and we've got the makings of a real good side.

Well deserved win for Hull Fc so glad that their loyal supporters are getting some reward after so many lean years.Marshall got caught out in no mans land between centre and winger for a couple of tries. Not the first winger to do that and he won't be the last.

Well I was one who turned off at half time I thought that the way Wigan were playing it was a foregone conclusion and they would run away with it, so imagine my surprise not to mention my elation for Hull FC in seeing the final score.

Wigan fans who attend are very lucky albeit I doubt that they have will agree that they have been privvy to having the best two games of the season on their midden with the first v Leigh and now this game.

Looking forward to watching the second half.
