Rod77 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Just read an article on twitter saying Ramon silva has signed for cas tigers. Hopefully good bit of business for us if we have received a sum of money with him still being under contract, will be a miss no doubt 1
RLDB Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Disappointing but can’t blame him for wanting to be back in Super League. There’s no mention of a fee being paid. 1
2Cents Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I remember there were rumours last year of him leaving for a better Club but Raiders said to the effect, "he's committed to Barrow on a 2-year contract and won't be going anywhere". Yeah right! Big loss for us, but wish him well in the SL. PS: Cresta had said his broken wrist won't be fully healed until Widnes away game April 13. 1

I suspect most players have an SL clause in their contract. If we want to attract good players who are looking to improve we can't been seen to blocking players going to SL as players won't want to come. 2
blue forever Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Super league release clause, can't do anything about. Be interesting to see who the replacement is... Might pave the way for bringing someone in, in a totally different position. 1
Ulverstonian Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Although gutted he is leaving it was always going to happen. He plays at a very high level every match as did Joe Bullock for us. Well deserved for him but he never played last match against Oldham, so a big chance for other players. Be good to see a new face however in any position to strengthen us. 1
Ulverstonian Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Just hope Cas don't then loan him out to another Championship club and it comes back to bite us !!!! 1
