Why has it taken this long to realise Dodd is garbage.

They’ve only just signed him for heaven’s sake and for $600k - $700k a season for this and the following two seasons. Souths can’t just axe him and for another club to come in for him, Souths would be paying the bulk of that contract anyway.

He is doing well in NSW Cup by all accounts.

I think he will be given a full season at least to cover for injuries or poor performances where he will get to put his best foot forward in the NRL.

This is just the sort of rubbish they make up on Fox Sports to fill in air space. You can't just axe a guy with 3 years to go in his contract without there being fairly dire salary cap implications. If he stays in reserve grade they might look to trade him to another club (and maybe pay off a bit of his contract) but no way they're gonna cop a $650k annual hit to their cap to axe a bloke after 2 weeks.

The bloke hasn’t even played yet 😂. 1 Try and 2 assists in NSW cup debut as well.

Just a load of media BS, I almost guarantee no one at the club has thought about Axing Dodd. Why in the world would they axe a 650,000 signing without having even played a game.

You do know its easier to shine when you play at a significantly lower level?

The opposition are generally not as good as the big boys.

On the money it’s suggested he is getting paid, not being picked at first choice in the NRL it begs the question why was he signed.

Thanks I never knew that. The point is he is in good form.

Bennett isn’t that good at knowing his squad as he starts with a new team as evidenced by having no clue who Tommy Makinson and Tom Johnstone were when he took the England job. There’s also a video of him asking Dodd who he was and then saying something like ‘oh you’re the English bloke’ in a quite derisory tone.

He hasn't played in 2 matches, one of which he was banned for.

Someone better push the panic button I guess.

and anyhow souths are on course to be the new NRL basket case - putting their faith in an aging inconsistent and vastly over rated Cody Walker while at the same time splashing the big cash on waste of space Brandon Smith
