Apparently they want a 10 team Superleague containing both French clubs plus Leeds, Saints, Wire, Hull, Hull KR and Wigan, leaving only 2 more spaces available.

Where did you hear this? I can’t think of anything worse as a spectator who cares for the whole game of rugby league tbh.

Heard Saints weren’t in the plans and one Hull club. London and TO definite but London as a new club. Dublin and Cardiff also in with a club ran by Man City

Hastings are building a new ground. It's got a lovely artist's impression.

Yes I did, the same as so many others did

Don't say that outside your house in the presence of a person (specifically a constable) familiar with section 136 of the MH Act!

The Hastings Normans should be a shoe in for Super League.

Bradford Bordeaux and Leigh Lyon to make up the two French teams......

If the North Sydney Bears can play out of Perth maybe your idea isn’t so ridiculous.

They could be the umpteenth team to be called the Conquerors

Also reported in the Guardian on line.

Is this our equivalent of soccer’s big 6 attempted breakaway of 2 years ago, although how Hull can be considered as one of our super 6 is open to question.

Do supporters of rival clubs have the same fervour to oppose these machinations?

Leigh are going to be one of the big losers if reports are correct regarding the NRL’s intentions.

Just when they thought they were getting to the top of the mountain someone has let go of the rope.

I do wonder though if roles were reversed how they would feel?

The big 5 English clubs (in order) are Wigan, Leeds, Saints, Wire, Hull; and I’d say Hull KR have now leapfrogged everyone else into 6th so it seems reasonable that they are the super 6 if there has to be one. That said this whole idea will switch me completely off if it happens.

Funny number umpteen. It seems like a big number but it's in the teens. Someone's cooking the books.

Hull KR also benefit from being in Hull and therefore having a huge Derby game.
