Either way, unless the tackler reefs the ball out, the ball carrier has to have a better grip from being "slapped" out

Fair; I thought it was unfair to call it a dropped ball when the Wigan player was targeting the ball.

I suppose the controversial French assist compounds things.

No doubt for me that Saints need to contain Wigan until they can get back to full strength and then score the next try to get back in the game.

Difficult to see it though and Wigan are hardly having to go through the gears as Saints gift them sets.

Understood, personally I agreed with the ref/VR on both incidents.

The thing is in sport that nobody wants to change a winning team and they often grow old together at the same time.

Roby was digging saints out of so many holes so many times in the past - but now without him theres no one who can do that

I know Bono and he knows Ono and she knows Enos phone goes thus

Great work rate from Walters, he seems to be involved in nearly every play.

I didn't get to see a lot of him at Leeds, but he looks to be a lot more of a player than just a gigantic bloke.

What’s the point of being the video ref if you’re not going to do you’re  job. What do they mean “Lack of evidence” all the evidence is right in front of you.

Indeed. Pause it when French contacts it. Pause it when it hits the ground. Clear that the ball ended up ahead of where he touched it.

Yes, he was a steady leader amongst his other strengths and knew what different situations needed.

Accidental but definitely head contact. Yellow.

That’s because when he retired they presented him with the spade he used to dig

Another dreadful decision in offloading there

The lead-footed reaction of his team-mates made it worse.

...and Field scores under the sticks.
