This will be a belter. The Airlie Birds flying high after their victory over the Wolves.
The Robins had their wings clipped by the Warriors and for the second time in as many weeks the Robins visit the Hull Council Stadium.

The only true derby in the competition but who will fly the highest ?
The atmosphere will insane as East meets West, families will be divided.

Your either Red&White or Black&White in Kingston Upon Hull

This is the Derby.

Batchelor being back is big. And hopefully Lewis but if not please play Richardson. Expect a physical battle, Rovers by 6.

But if Hull win wouldn't suprise me.

Excellent post.

Rovers will probably come out on top looking at the form from day one but this past weekend has given us Black and Whites some hope. The passion shown by the players, especially Will Pryce might just give us the edge....maybe.

With a 20,000 plus crowd in there, it's gonna be yet another belting occasion though.

Hull Fc by 6 in a tough game, maybe a few yellow cards.

After the cup game Cartwright was clearly disappointed with the performance and said that he had got some things wrong himself tactically and in the way they had prepared for certain things. After the Warrington game he was asked about this game being a battle for top spot. He said it was great for the fans and sponsors etc but as a group they weren't bothered about being top after 8 games, their focus was on righting the wrongs and getting revenge for the last game.

I don't think Cartwright is the sort of guy who would say stuff like this if there was no substance behind it. He obviously thinks that we can be a lot better and is expecting his players to deliver a performance.

I wouldn't say I was confident, but I am confident we will push them very hard, and if we get a bit of luck or if they aren't quite on it I think we will get the result.

Hull 22 v 16 Rovers

FC by 4.

Rugby Union the only game in the world were the spectators handle the ball more than the players.

Unlikely to be any reds though.

You are probably correct, there seems to be a lack of red cards this season. I thought my own player Oledski should have been sent off against Salford and was astounded when he wasn't.

21 man squads just announced.

Balmforth back for Hull. I expect he will come onto the bench in place of Moy and apart from that it will be the exact same team that faced Warrington.

Lewis is in the Hull KR squad. I hope he plays tbh. No excuses, we want to face them at their best.

Fair comment, I was watching that in the pub and all those watching with me  thought Oledski was on his way, but alas no, as per other incidents this season. Red cards are being issued in the lower leagues, but not in the SL for some reason. It would be nice to get an explanation from the games hierarchy.

Thought plenty of FC fans were more than happy to see Lewis out injured the way they cheered when he pulled up last time round 🤔

Yes I know. He's the pantomime villain, it's expected that he's going to get some stick, but I thought that was classless.

Energy battle will be key.

Both FC and Rovers looked out on their feet in the final 10 minutes of last week.

Could argue that Hull’s was down to them not using all their substitutes.

Interesting tie and a genuine 50/50 for me.

Regardless of the result this is the only true derby in the comp.

you have Wigan / Saints that rivalry it’s not a derby.

This is East v West it divides families. It’s the talk of the City at workplaces, in the street, this is the one.

Your either Red & White or Black & White in Hull.

The River Hull divides the City, the Colours you wear you wear with pride.

The only true derby is ours.

Don’t do that to us Lucy. It’s nerve racking enough.

Hope Wakey do it for you. Really impressed with what has happened with Bell Vue looks great, really enjoyed it. Hope you do well this season.

I would play Richardson over May.

Dont rate May at all. He hasn’t bought into our club. Watch him warm up he can’t be arsed. No kicking game.

Danny Richardson for me but it won’t happen unless Mikey doesn’t play, Jez is at hooker covering Micky Mac  so he can’t play in halves.

I think May is defensively brilliant, but it's his style that makes him look lazy, as a relaxed player he doesn't look like he's putting the effort in when he is.

but him and Lewis really don't make a good pairing as to similar style players. Think with a controlling hb like Syned either one would be outstanding.  Together not sure they're suited. Which given our last two years seems strange. Our kicking game has been poor for years.

Jez definitely Hooker, shame about Leyland. Forwards pick themselves really, only conundrum for me is Mourgue or Broadbent.

Couldn't disagree more about May he is outstanding with his defence and seems to have all the time in the world to pick who he wants to offload too when being tackled.

He's the sort of player that when you watch the game back on tv after getting home after a match you notice more how well he reads the game and knows where to be in attack and defence.
