Was listening to the online match commentary, but had to do something else as it was depressing. Oldham are dire tonight, if I had paid to watch that match I doubt I would return in a hurry, the Oldham players almost seem uninterested in competing. Sad that the biggest crowd of the season are treated to that showing.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

I've been watching Oldham for 65 years and have never walked out of a game. But today after 25 minutes I couldn't take any more - they were an embarrassment to the shirt.

I brought 4 newbees who sadly won't be coming back.

I know we are down to the bones but the 25 minutes I watched they were clueless.

The bubble has definitely burst and big time.

I think some of these comments are very harsh. Bradford are a very good big side, we were down to absolutely skeleton bones with so many injuries and I'm sure the boys who played tonight played their hearts out but were totally outplayed by a full squad Bradford team.  Onwards and upwards with hopefully some of our main injured players coming back and Sambou back from suspension.  It's hard to understand we lost four key players just prior to the game to injury? That I find harder to believe.

Previous comments are bang out of order!!!! How fickle!!! It's clear the fans that made them haven't been to many games all season.

4 key players dropped out last minute and we had to make do.

Despite this we never gave up and played till the end. If anything, those players need backing again due to the enormous effort put in

Shoe on other foot and Bradford had 9 injuries and we had 3 it would have been different story

Unfortunately with the players we had missing it was always likely to be a non-contest today. Bradford figured our weakness on the edges early and silly mistakes cost us even more.

PLT was class and the guys played to the end. I just wish we had a week off to get some players fit!

bulls looked good but beatable

Shocking 1st half. We couldn't catch a high kick and they used their very tall wingers / centres well.

Second half we seemed to have licence to throw it about and showed some much better attack than in recent weeks.

Need some troops back or some new lads in to ensure what has been a decent start to the season isn't de-railed by a tough run of upcoming games.

Really poor comments above.

We were playing the best team in the division who are very big, fit, aggressive (but fair) & skilful with the bare bones of a squad & players playing out of position.

Without Agoro, Thornley, Sambou, Dixon, Wildie, Ashurst, Taylor & Milner; Craven on the wing & Hirst in the centre; Forster & Lawton having played little minutes this season; Geener making his professional competitive debut; a woefully unfit Turner who has been badly exposed by both Fev & Bulls tonight; & no dual reg available from Wigan.

Not the performance anyone wanted but we need to dust ourselves off & move onto the next game.

Bradford had a full squad saw no Keyes in that team gill, had hallas playing at hooker which he definitely isn’t so we had some late changes to scurr went off injured first half never returned pele went of injured had to make adjustments in game.

after that kick off and Oldham scoring there first set I thought here we go going be a long day at the office then we killed game off in first half unfortunately for Oldham probably best we’ve played all year. Long season up and down up Oldham are definitely on the up just wasn’t your day today stick with the team they play rugby whose your full back he’s fast always looked to course us trouble all night

As soon as I saw the team sheet I knew it would be a big ask. Players having to play out of position and giving their best is not an embarrassment, anyone who says so needs to have a big look at themselves. We had to play a lad from waterhead for goodness sake.  Bradford were a strong fast team. I did think two of their tries from kicks were knock ons. Looking forward to seeing how it looks on the match highlights.  2,600 and odd crowd was OK. Looking forward to the return match when, hopefully,  we'll have a full team available.

Beat by a much better team and the 2nd half was a good contest and Oldham never gave up we have come a long way in the last 2 years and Bradford will win this league if they carry on playing that rugby. So well done Oldham

The lads on that pitch gave everything.  Some ridiculous comments on here tonight.   We are a growing club and learning each week.   Switch the injury situation around and we would have bounced them. New and faster backs are needed but we knew that before tonight anyway.

One step at a time, have patience

Just got home and honestly, I feel bad for anyone who left early. Much better performance in the second half.

The game was sadly decided with the team sheets and we couldn’t overcome players being out of position.

However onwards and upwards. Let’s hope for some returns soon.

Bradford were streets ahead of anything we have played in the league this season.

We were completely patched up and everything had to go right for us. A couple of errors from us compounded our problems, but our main issue was a lack of any pace wide out other than PLT. They exploited it ruthlessly along with the height mismatch on the wings.

A good thing to have a longer rest before the Doncaster game.

You & your 4 newbees won't be walking down Wembley Way on June 7th then ???

Made a better account of ourselves in the second half but Bradford were a class outfit from start to finish tonight.

So far this season we've been able to not let silly mistakes cost us but tonight Bradford put us to the sword with every mistake.

Heard this was a full Bulls team

We had Tom Holmes Jorge Taufua Kieran Gill Tyran Ott Joe Keyes all missing from our squad.

We also lost Ebon Scurr and Franklin Pele during game.

Some interesting comments on here, some i agree with, others I think are a bit out of order!

My take is this, when i got to the ground and heard the team I was a bit taken aback, we were already down to a bare squad then another four pull out that were named in the squad made me wonder what the hell was going on???? Anyway I'm not privy to what goes on in the squad or the condition of the players but I have faith in Sean Long and will back him with whatever squad he chooses to put out on the field.

I'll admit i was not optimistic at kick off but we have two sets in the Bradford half, first set we nearly go over, second set we do score, happy days I thought then the floodgates opened. That first half Bradford were on fire and you'll be hard pushed to see a better try in any league than their second, one end of the field to the other, fantastic try!!! Oldham just could not handle Bradford who were quicker, faster with the ball, more expansive and better disciplined. Their kicking game into the corners was spot on, high ball, run after it and then get their big man to palm it back and over they go. Simple intelligent rugby which unfortunately Oldham could just not deal with.

Second half Oldham played a lot better but in all honesty were still second best although Bailey Aldridge's try was a belter and showed what Oldham were capable of, pity the quality of the Bradford side kind of snuffed out Oldham's ability to play as they can.

In the end a more than fair result, Bradford were on fire tonight and even a full strength Oldham team would have needed a whole lot of luck to beat them tonight.

As for Oldham, yes we may have lost but I am still proud to call myself an Oldham fan, they lads out there I feel gave it their all, 100% effort from all of them but tonight they were just outplayed by the better team. Losses and bad performances I can handle if the team try their best and those lads out there tonight gave all they could for the shirt and that is all I ask, well done lads, heads up, you did us proud, thank you for your efforts and I'll be there at Doncaster to cheer you on again!!!!! Glad there are a couple of extra days rest between now and the next game as we need some bodies back, looks like we are now possibly struggling to get a 1-18 out on the park after tonight.

COME ON OLDHAM!!!!!!!
