Worst, the vastly overrated Headingley.

Best, Tottenham Stadium.

I knew Alt Park would get a mention 😅

Some folks remember a ground because its where they lost their virginity. I remember Alt Park because it where I lost my front wheels.

Favourite - In the past Cougar Park during the mid 90's rivalry with Keighley, absolutely rammed and usually humdingers of games, i've never experienced a rivalry like it before or since, some amazing trips there back in the day.

Currently - probably Batley, a proper rugby league day out.

Worst - Wakefield or Odsal

in the past - Boulevard or Copthall stadium

Have to admit I’ve never met anyone who lost their virginity at a rugby league ground - do tell more!

My favourite was any rugby league ground you could urinate and still watch the game 😂

Back in the day, there was a few of them!

My favourite, The Zoo

Least Favourite, was never a fan of Brunton Park

I’m interested, what happened at Kippax (I grew up in the village!).

Coventry Bears played there and the locals made it plain that they despised 'expansion' clubs. This wasn't unusual in West Yorkshire (Featherstone Lions would be another example) but the Kippax players really didn't like getting beaten and were throwing punches left right and centre. The referee completely lost control.

One of our players ended up overnighting in hospital after being set upon by a group of Kippax players.

Best - The old York ground, cant remember what it was called (hunterston or something?), next to a bowling alley, great place.

Worst - Sheffield binoculars needed stadium, Elland road with the smallest leg space known to man (not really an RL ground, I know)

Why wouldn't they want expansion teams ? I find that a strange comment, did they actually say that ?

Best - Fortunate enough to have recently attended a Parramatta Eels game at CommBank Stadium (Western Sydney Stadium)Just a fantastic experience for RL geeks to experience an NRL game. 🤓

For different reasons Batley (some folk on twitter have just imploded) Just a great RL day even if you attend as a neutral.

Worst - Wakefield, if you had to stand on the touch line, it's just impossible to get a good view from the side. But the new stand's magnificent. Also a fair few of Sheffield's which were no more than a local park at times.

Not everyone in rugby league likes the idea of the game spreading outside of the M62 corridor. Sorry if this comes as a shock to you. Some of those people would happily tell me they didn't think their team should be playing teams from 'The South' and some of those were quite rude about it.

Suncorp, Watersheddings, Headingley.

Worst ,both Warrington grounds.

I wonder if this is the first time Suncorp and Watersheddings have been described together in such a way.

Favourite, Leigh Sports Village, good atmosphere, good line of sight, good nearby amenities

Worst, Odsal and not just because I’m a Fax fan, it’s crumbling, the seats are actually filthy, no atmosphere

You can't say anything nice about Batley on here!

Best for sightlines/facilities is CommBank Stadium.
Best for authentic RL heritage is Henson Park, closely followed by Lidcombe Oval, with Bramley a close third.
Best for Atmosphere was Central Park when it was rammed.
Best for a day trip is Workington or Whitehaven: drive through the lakes, bit of lunch lovely.
Best for a few days away = Edinburgh

Worst for sightlines/facilities = Whitebank, Sheffield, Wentworth Park (just move that bl00dy greyhound scoreboard) and, since the development, Shark Park Cronulla: all the General Admission views are compromised.
Worst for authentic RL heritage is either Salford Community Stadium or Sheffield
Worst for atmosphere = Alexander Stadium, Birmingham or Stade Ernest Argeles in Blagnac
Worst for a a day trip is Barrow.
Worst for a few days away = Blackpool

I went to the inaugural game, and been to a couple since. It's absolutely fantastic - a great RL day out, and a genuinely well-conceived/designed stadium built with supporter comfort/viewing in mind. The new Sydney Football Stadium is pretty close too - great sightlines from everywhere.

I was at a Featherstone Lions v Coventry Bears game a few years ago, I think it was a CC tie, and didn't see or hear any resentment whatsoever towards the Coventry team.

Yes, the Kippax incidents were as Tim related.

As for the Fetherston Lions, Tim would have been amongst the crowd and would have been more exposed than me.

As a general rule of thumb I found the west of the Penines were more welcoming ( I'm happy to admit as a Lancastrian by birth I may be biased) Tim as his Username suggests is of the White Rose persuasion ( that's the curse he has to live with) and has no reason to single out his fellow Yorkists.

Favourites Cardiff, Underbank ( despite the stone wall touchline). And of course Craven Park Barrow

Worst

Filtrona Park, Gateshead, Whitebank. But for the least welcoming  ( a part from when Jon Flatman was Chairman and when Kevin Hayes was a sponsor,  they had been involved in RL in  the Midlands) has to be York. To be fair they have improved since they moved to the LNER from Bootham Crescent and the union clubs they used to use.
