Nowt to beat but the ref!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it about time we had the rub of the green. I can't remember a game this season when I could say the ref saw both sides equally.

I know that the world record is cancelled for Saturday but is the street food and drinks outside the ground still on looking forward to as a few more peace are coming with me on Saturday 🍻

Looking at the ticket sales,  it looks like quite a few seats have been sold in the Jimmy Frizzell stand?  Are people still coming who booked for the dance world record as it can't be away supporters.  At a guess the Joe Royle stand looks around 70% full so far

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

see no Adam Lawton 🤔

He picked up an injury at Doncaster and needed treatment a couple of  times on his knee. JT similarly hampered so no surprise to see them both missing this week

Gutted I can't make this game because of work but I reckon this is going to be a superb game. Watched the last few Toulouse games and their defence is superb. Two wingers are exceptional at this level.

For ourselves I like the squad we've got out. Sambou should come straight in at centre for Turner. All the pack are playing well and with Pellisier we now have a dual threat at hooker. Douglas struggled on Sunday but will be much better for the game and I think will prove his quality and Lowe on the other wing has already looked very good for us this season.

I'd go: PLT, Douglas, Davies, Sambou, Lowe, Craven, Drinkwater, Dudson, Forber, Ted, Ashurst, Hirst, Moran. subs: Pellisier, Farnworth, Lannon, Jay.

Milner hasn't been playing well enough anymore to keep Pat out of the starting team and Lannon is going to bring a lot of dynamism at loose forward once he gets his match fitness. Could see Forster come into the second row and keep Hirst down the middle but don't mind either way. Really want to see Craven and Drinky in the halves as I think that would take our attack to another level.

COME ON OLDHAM

Milner and Dean are two of the first names in the team for me. Big players in defence and attack

But when DC went to out half against Bradford we became a different team

I do rate DC but I thought our improvement against Bradford’s was equally down to moving his weaker defence in off the wing.

Either way, isn’t it just great having these quality players at the club!

As a neutral (Fev) fan I agree with both your points. Their defence at our place was tremendous, quick off the line and routinely 3 into the tackle, one one occasion Fev were forced to kick on the fifth tackle just five metres from our own tryline after being pinned by some aggressive trap D.

I will say that Toulouse had a week off prior to that game whereas Fev had had a draining game against York 6 days earlier and that probably had an impact on that game as Toulouse's energy levels were far higher, of course they're a full-time team too. They do seem to throw in the odd shocker away from home though.

And yes their wings are very good, especially Benjamin Laguerre who might be the best wing in the comp at the moment, good in yardage and a tremendous finisher, I'm a bit surprised Catalans (who already have his older brother Matthieu) or another SL team haven't swooped in for him yet.

What a pleasure to have people contributing intelligently about the game rather than in a narrow, partisan manner.

Bravo!

Better side won. Had the strength of a full time outfit and very savvy halves.Suffocated Oldham for much of the game, but we showed great tenacity to make it close.

As for the ref....
