A great second half performance today that won us the match after a mistake riddled first half.

I think the forwards did really well to compete with and contain the big Crusaders pack, the half back pair of Roberts and Stevens played really well with Roberts getting more influential as the game went on.

For such a young player Roberts showed maturity as he set up and ran the plays - I have always been a fan of Stevens and he showed today what a talent he is.

We scored some great tries in the second half.

Can't wait to see the highlights.

Why do we have to start off so badly? Wood just sits in the stand swearing. Its hard to listen to him.

The second half was amazing. We really gave it some effort and all those players who left us showed why we shouldn't be bothered that they did as North Wales did a Swinton 2024 style surrender.

Ellis Anderson can be really elusive.  Rodden flew it in all afternoon. Great to see 2 proper half backs releasing our three quarters in the second half.

North Wales constant chatter was embarrassing and certainly influenced the young ref who had a decent game but he should have nipped Dallimores interference in the bud.

I think most of our coaches have engaged in the use of colourful language - I think Kilshaw has been the exception in that regard.

I agree about the halfbacks but we must remember that Roberts is DR and there's no guarantee he will feature regularly - Briers has a good kicking game but he isn't as creative as Roberts who also takes on the line more.

I also think Abram's best position is fullback.

I wasn't too downhearted at half time but maybe that was because my expectations were extremely low. I thought we'd put in a good shift defensively, Crusaders have some big players and I thought we stood up well to that. Although saying that their two tries in that half came from a knock on and the second one I felt they really should have put Ah Van into touch, especially as he had a shocker all afternoon.

I thought we'd get well beaten but as has been said Crusaders were more intent on trying to ref the game than play.

We've all known that Stevens might offer something, I wonder what he's done or not done in training to warrant not being picked, let's hope he can keep his spot. It must've been hard for him when they've been bringing in players that have gone straight into the team. Roberts was good as well, it's what we've been missing.

Then my other stand outs were Rodden and Roby.

As I've said before I have to remind myself that we have a young squad so mistakes will be made and there will be inconstancies but we have enthusiasm and can play when we get going. Also, it's Wood's first proper coaching role so he has some learning to do as well.

Last game I made was Rochdale and I have missed the last two and will miss the next one due to family committments, I did buy a season ticket as I knew I would be missing games though. Glad to see Stevens got a chance and excelled, spoke to the Darts lads to get the heads up and they said the second half was possibily the best half of Rugby we have played this year

Crusaders deservedly led at half time Mark and I expected them to do more of the same second half. Problem, it seems, their players thought that too? Take nothing away from Swinton though - they were like a different team second half and thoroughly earned the victory. Bitter/Sweet for me as all my Crusaders friends were there but they will recognise that the best side won.
