Unicorn 106 Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Another tricky away game on Sunday, looking at our next 3 fixtures we are capable of winning them all. Goole and Dewsbury at home after Sunday. We could put ourselves in great league position with 3 wins. Keighley haven’t won a game yet but nearly all close run games. UTT.

It will be a tricky one , the cougar's have some good players but for whatever reason haven't found a win , with a new coach in they will want to impress, we need to be on our guard and make sure we are not there first win, I think it will be close and not much in it. UTT 2
silverfox Posted May 7 Posted May 7 I would be surprised if it isnt a very hard game . I know they haven't won yet . But at the start of the season the Bookies had them favorites for the league. So there must be something there ready to click. Just hope it isn't against us .UTT . 3
Peter Winthorpe Posted May 8 Posted May 8 We must find a way to win this game however close it is!!9 This will allow us to keep the winning momentum building, and hopefully the wave of support that should go with it. We should then be well placed in the league table for the Dewsbury game that I am making the near 400mile trip down to attend. UTT 6
The Voodooguru Posted May 9 Posted May 9 With no Dom this week and if the craic is right that Caine is going for a specialist opinion on what might be a long term injury it should be an interesting starting 13. Guessing it will be JD in the halves again with CWT spelling at hooker with Cooper & Jake in the second row. I still see a strong line up that should be too strong for Keighley. Let's hope they cut out the mistakes of last week's first half and don't try and score off every play. Score prediction of 10 - 28 UTT 1 The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!
Peter Winthorpe Posted May 10 Posted May 10 I would happily settle for that score, but with the motivation of the new coach I expect another nail bigtting game. So 18 to 22 is my guess, UTT 1
Unicorn 106 Posted May 11 Author Posted May 11 Lovely day for it, looking forward to the game, I’ve been to Keighley 4 times and we’ve won every one, hope that continues today. UTT 1
wonky Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Any win will do but we seem really good on our travels this year so a town win by 14. And that table will look very nice with a win putting us top of the pile 1 the futures bright, the futures blue and white
GETEMONSIDE Posted May 11 Posted May 11 28- 6 to Town HT 3 Always have been always will be the pride of West Cumbria!

town2018 Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Well never travelled today bit listened on the radio and what a win that is our defence is unbelievable this season and our forwards are building a platform to score alot off points corkill sounded like he had a great game which is excellent because I really worried about him 2
DavidM Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Excellent . Never liked them , good to give them a right shellacking 2 2
Sticklebricks Posted May 11 Posted May 11 A great performance from the lads today, good being top of the league just need to stay there now utt 3
Peter Winthorpe Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Brad Holroyd seems to have gone off the boil after he left us. Great win and no nail damage after all. UTT

townie88 Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Massive Kudos to jonty, the coaching team and the lads. They're really hitting their straps now and sound like they'll take some beating. Defence is outstanding and sounded like we're were clinical today. Well done. Enjoy the bus back 2
David69 Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Well done lads starting to really click now. Was goner take bit time new coaching set up and squad. Hope the fans start coming back, playing good stuff deserve bigger n better support. hopefully flock down to the fibrus for the next game.utt 4
Hate the rec Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Great win today, really enjoyed it, the lads really stuck in and played well, Cole slotted into 9 today and deserves a lot of praise his 40/20 was class and will give Jonty something to think about at half back, hope Caine is ok and not as bad as what fans are saying , well done everyone, great support again, UTT 2
bobg Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Just back from Keighley, what a great performance, line speed and defence outstanding, big wraps to all 1 to 17, but Spencer Fulton and Cole Walker Taylor the standouts. Great following from our fans who had good banter with Brad Holroyd and also George Flanagan Snr and Jnr . Well done and well deserved win.️ 4
homeandawayer Posted May 11 Posted May 11 (edited) Just got back, well we've got everything..fast wingers and fullback ,classy halves and hookers who weren't even playing hooker and the two lads who played there slotted in seamlessly. Castle, Graham and Scholey in particular give us big go forward and Bradley is a beast...and yeah Corkhill has now come to the party and is a handful. The pass for Ecc was sublime. Keighley weren't that bad so to restrict them to one try was a great effort, I never think the other team will score unlike past years. I knew though the cougars would start making mistakes and they did and that's why they are where they are. Their plan A was repelled and their plan B was sloppy. Must be hard to take for their fans.
