I think he’s made the right call there, but not sure how he was able to decide which hand touched the ball first for this try but not for the last one.

I don't like how the VR decides something and then keeps jogging back, almost questioning himself after the fact. It undermines the decision.

I would say, that's been trimmed. That ball isn't on the ground at that point.

Whitehead is just a bit of a tool isn't he? He'll be lucky not to be binned for the way he's speaking to the ref.

Clear as day he hits him in face.

Rugby Union the only game in the world were the spectators handle the ball more than the players.

Whitehead seems to be becoming a bit of a moany grub in his dotage.

What on earth was he challenging there? He'd given Lewis a facial and a push.

For me that incident was all Whitehead trying to rough Lewis up and goad him. Ref and VR got it spot on, and Whitehead's reaction after the VR decision suggests he knew it.

Some challenge from Whitehead 😄

He does some whinging at the ref since he’s come back from the NRL.

He seems to me to have gone down the Chris Hill route, and become a bit angrier/dafter as he's got older, rather than more sensible and wise.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Good semi final though, plenty of action, full stadium and good atmosphere!

No remember this was an uninspiring choice of stadium. Modern ground full of fans isn't what people want to see.

Exactly. No wonder there's so much misery on this thread.

Possibly but at the point the ball was on the floor both hands were on it so that is simultaneous grounding.

I would have thought that the fella who had his hand on first would count as the grounder, but I'm not sure.

I’ve noticed in recent games he’s starting to look like that older player who can’t quite do what he used to and now either forces the play and makes an error or over reacts

This is an enjoyable game, camera work is awful tho and the Aussie commentator is very poor.
