Why is this not on Sunday instead of Friday? Leigh with a 5 day turnaround after a bruising semi final while Wigan rested for 2 weeks.

Because they’d then have an even shorter turnaround for the Hull game the following Thursday.

That’s not far off Leigh’s strongest squad been named isn’t it

short turnaround I admit but that team should be competitive if nothing else- not expecting a win btw but not as bad as some are claiming surely

Don't know Col haven't seen it, has Mr Lam stopped doing the pre match press interview, non for magic, semi and now the Wigan game, I subscribe to Leigh Leopards site on YouTube and tgey always came up on there, where have you seen the team?

After Sunday I am expecting quite a few sore bodies and most likely hardly trained this week as a squad.

I think it might be the same 21 man squad as last week 

Dwyer and Badrock played in the reserves last week, so would be surprised if they make the 17. Though I'd drop Hughes and put Badrock second row just for the stupid penalty he gave away towards the end of the semi final. Hopefully he adds a second prop forward onto the bench this week.

Hughes saved a certain tryjust before the break, forcing Thewlis a winger back inside.

Really don't see this as a one sided beating, regardless of short turnarounds for Leigh and the rest Wigan have had. It's a Derby and Leigh will have taken plenty from there opening night clean sheet victory! I do think the rest factor will eventually come in to play but only after a decent contest for an hour.

Yeah I know we are, but circumstances of a 5 day turnaround after a very physical encounter, with the opposition - still probably the best team in the division -  having a two week sabbatical will have a say on the outcome of the game.

Wigan never, ever have injuries or suspensions and never give their youth players a chance, nor have they ever had a short turnaround.

Not a single mention of injuries to Leigh players in this thread. Short turnaround mentioned, but I think that's on top of the fact that Wigan would've been favourites anyway.

Leigh have a very strong squad - pretty much their strongest by the looks of it. With us missing Havard and Miski, they have more of their 1-13 than we do. I expect us to be 100% focussed after they nilled us last time out. It will be very difficult indeed, but with home advantage and a high level of motivation we can prevail.
