Leigh have a very strong squad - pretty much their strongest by the looks of it. With us missing Havard and Miski, they have more of their 1-13 than we do. I expect us to be 100% focussed after they nilled us last time out. It will be very difficult indeed, but with home advantage and a high level of motivation we can prevail.

Wigan had home advantage when Leigh nilled them. Wigan also often do not respond well to mid season breaks for some reason.

Hopefully they don't respond well this time. For all the talk of breaks, short turnarounds, injuries etc, ultimately there is a bit of a gap in class between the top 2 and the rest. I think Leeds might break away and make it a top 3, but Wigan and Hull KR will start every game as favourites, apart from when they play each other.

Don't like to describe any games as a free hit, but if Leigh were to get a result tonight it would be a bonus. Think we might have poked the bear in round 1 though.

Why would the 1 - 13 be the strongest team, it may well have been in the coaches eyes pre season s the shirts were awarded but as the season progresses players lose form while others outside those numbers improve, there are also new recruits to a club who may be better than those already there.

Understandably Wigan are favourites but I'm not overly confident ahead of this game. Wigan have had a really good run of form recently but we struggled against Wire and there were signs that maybe we're going to have a bit of a dip in form. As mentioned above, we don't always respond well to having a week off and I do worry that Leigh will be one of those sides that really cause us problems.

Matt Peet will downplay the importance of the opening day defeat but I'm hoping it is being used as a bit of motivation. We don't want to be 0-2 at home against our nearest neighbours (both in terms of victories and in aggregate score).

Of course the scoreboard is only one issue. Everyone knows the biggest battle will be winning the penalty count.

It's not nailed on that we'll  win. Leigh on fire can be very motivated and challenging.  Once again, we need to be careful with our discipline around the ptb.

Not a great start for Leigh, with Joe Ofahengaue going off hurt almost immediately.

A beauty of a 40/20 from Harry Smith.

Excellent start! Give Harry Smith the credit for that opening try. Fantastic kick and Smith plays a big part in giving Field the time and space to deliver that pass by squaring up the defence and getting the perfect pass away with pretty much no time on the ball.

Not an easy conversion, but Keighran's kick went straight over.

Not sure if there’s some weird boycott going on, but Leigh fans appear to have forgotten there a game on. Less that a thousand in attendance I’d say.

Was kick-off delayed for ten minutes? Surprised when I turned it on and saw only four minutes gone.

Ofahengaue has passed his HIA, so some good news for leigh at least.

A good run from Niu but that's the sort of soft defence that Wigan showed against Wire. Second time in two games that Brad O'Neill has been beaten in that manner by failing to get his arms around a player running at pace.

A great kick-chase from Trout, followed by a rampage by Tesi Niu to score.

Great chase and pressure from Trout to force the spill from Field.

Niu rampages over off the drop-off.
