From the little I’ve seen so far televised in the league you would have to favour Wigan who have progressed more in 12 months.

Heart says Saints and head says Wigan.

Hopefully we get a competitive game and Saints can give their all.

The way they've started this season, Wigan have to start as favourites - which is strange in itself, given Saints are going for their 5th cup in a row.

Their exciting young backs and halves (best ball handlers in the league, some with serious pace) are now a year older. They now have a pack (with some imported antipodean muscle) that can't be bullied.

The big playing surface will suit Wigan too - only stage fright (IMO😀) stops them from winning this.

Looking forward to watching this one. I think Wigan have the potential to be the greatest women's team we have seen in the history of the sport over here and I expect them to dominate for a long time to come. Wigan really should win this at a canter so Im going for Wigan by 24. I think for anyone predicting a close game or even a Saints victory, they have to hope that Saints are at their very best and Wigan have a total off day because there is a large gulf in quality between these two sides.

That sounds fair on the basis of what has happened so far this season.

Saints have got to believe they can do it and Wigan have got to get carried away with their self belief.

Wigan big favourites and Saints underdogs.

Anyone see this event on Skybet? Before logging in it was there with Wigan -6 on the handicap but as soon as I log in it has disappeared.

Edit: Looks like its there on the mobile site but gone as soon as I log in and it takes me to the web app.

I don't really do handicap betting - are they only giving Saints a six point head start?

I'd kind of assumed that the expectation was a pretty huge Wigan win?

After a slow start Wigan pressure pays off with nice try under sticks for Williams.

Nice try for Wigan there.

Wigan looking really dangerous with ball in hand as we've come to expect this season. That line from Molly Jones was brilliant.

We've overplayed at times but I guess that's just the way that Dennis Betts thinks we'll cause the most damage.

Good that the womens game is getting national exposure on the BBC but it looks a bit ridiculous playing in a massive stadium that must be 98% empty.

Doubt the women themselves would agree. A chance to play at Wembley is massive for them.

Good start for Wigan in terms of the game.

Saw quotes this morning with him saying they've hammered it home that they will never aim to play like a men's team and to just enjoy themselves. With the pace they have, it seems a great strategy.

Veivers just going straight through the Saints defence. They won't be impressed with that. One player getting ahead of the line and then missing the tackle.
