No wonder Bill wants to be a part owner of the complex or build a new stadium for the Rugby.  Who is to say further matches are switched?

I'd hope and assume this is just a "one off" due to delay's with the pitch maintenance. If you sign a 10 year lease to be tenants I'd be pretty surprised if there were not conditions in there that would stop Latic's kicking the rugby out of Boundary Park for some games willy nilly, there would have a genuine good reason and I'm sure BQ / MF would not have signed up without certain guarantee's.

I think on this occasion its one that is unfortunate but could not be avoided plus given the owners of Latic's are now a hell of a lot better than previous I dont think there is anything underhand going on.  It is what it is so personally I don't think we have to much to be concerned with or there is some underhand conspiracy going on. If you are a tenant you are always at the mercy of your landlord but relations between the football and rugby seem to be good at the moment so this is just one of those unfortunate instances where we just have to suck it up and get on with it.

From what i remember of Sedgley Park if its a nice sunny day when we play Widnes the atmosphere there is pretty good and its only for one game so lets make the best of it and hope for a good day!

COME ON OLDHAM!!!!

COME ON OLDHAM!!!!

The annual pitch renovation will have been put back as Latics were training on it right up to Wembley at the end of May.

Depending on when the contractor could get on owing to rescheduling the works it should be a one off. Not sure when Latics have their first home friendly.

Latics have been pretty good with us this season eg the rescheduling of the Law Cup after postponement at the time of year when the pitch is most vulnerable.

Will adam lawton be allowed to play against Oldham

His loan is up at end of June I think? But given  we have list Musgrove I suspect he and Moran may he recalled?

he seems to be getting injured quite a lot these days.

He has a dead leg but is named in a squad of 19 only this weekend for Widnes

Widnes lost 4 players to injury against York - Owens, Gilmore, Johnstone & Hall (formerly Lewis Charnock of this parish) - which perhaps partly explains how an 18-0 lead became an 18-36 defeat! We play them a week on Sunday of course.

Fantastic result for Widnes who were down to the bare bones.  Toulouse made a fair number of changes as well. An Adam Lawton hat trick has definitely done oldham a huge favour

A huge favour? More like given one of our direct competitors for a play-off place a massive boost. Hope it doesn’t come back to haunt us.

Has anyone purchased their tickets through ORLFC for this game? Not sure if I am doing something wrong but it only shows latics ground and not Sedgeley park?

Just seen on Facebook - Liam Bent payed the full 80 minutes for Widnes last week and made 60 tackles with no misses. Keeping up his Roughyeds’ form at a higher level. Plus he made 6.6 metres per carry, which is a lot better than at Oldham. Seems to be developing his game. He was always a good lad.

21 man squad the same as last week so you would expect the same 17. Only change I can really see would be Mo coming back and moving Johnson to the other wing to replace Pons who after a great start has had a couple of tricky games.

Been impressed with the toughness of Widnes from what I've seen of them. They've had loads of injuries all across the park but they always seem to turn up and put in a decent performance.

Not been to Sedgley Park for a long time but I love their pitch which really allows for plenty of good rugby. Think it's a good chance for our outside backs to show their quality especially after last weeks game where the pitch was so small you couldn't play any rugby.

Oldham by 8.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!
