I’d definitely keep Moran, plus the two Frenchmen. Unless better are available. Same with Mo, though his injuries are restricting his appearances and effect. MF& BQ may wel have other alternatives in the pipeline. 1
Tim G Posted August 1 Author Posted August 1 I've noticed that the clubs who have beaten us this season , mainly Bradford and Toulouse, have had big fast wingers. I know Mike is fully aware of the improvements required and I'm excited to see who comes in.
shaw llewellyn Posted August 2 Posted August 2 With Declan Murphy leaving Salford for Hull KR, where does that leave PLT? 1

bosman69 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 When PLT was playing for the KR reserves they were experimenting with him in the halves. They moved on Evalds but signed Morgue instead and now this kid from Salford. With Broadbent often excelling at full back the future at fullback for Phoenix looks blocked. If they saw him as a half I assume they would have loaned him to a club looking to play him there. The expansion of super league will other more chances to players like him but hopefully we can retain him. 2
Happyed Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I’ve just read my favourite rumour yet…Lewis Dodd !!! there are some cranks on social media. I assume we will be matching his £2m contract! 2

bosman69 Posted August 7 Posted August 7 I am not suggesting for one moment that this rumour is correct but his contract is a reported 2million aussie dollars over 3 years. In £s this is just less than £1m so the equivalent of £330k per annum. Souths have the liability here and will look to do the best deal for them but recognising that they may have to chip in to make up Dodd's money - eg an English club agrees to pay him £250k per annum and they pay Dodd £160k to go. You have to feel some sympathy for the young lad. Signed by Souths when he was far from the finished article and unwanted by their new coach Wayne Bennett. Souths are shot to pieces injuries wise so when he has had the occasional chance the Souths forwards are getting battered. I sincerely hope he gets a decent opportunity back home to get his career on track. 3
Roughyed Rats Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Jack Ormondroyd and Ryan Brierley rumoured to be joining in the next day or so, according to journalist John Davidson 1

So sad to see that club in such dire straits. 4
Happyed Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Brierley would be an interesting signing if true. Quality player but would it mean PLT moving into the halves? ….could be a master stroke from longy 1

sheddingswasus Posted August 7 Posted August 7 If he signs PLT at stand off with smith on bench covering backs and hooker maybe? 2
RoytonRoughyed83 Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Are there any Oldhamers that could be signed next season that would be great signings but realistic Thinking Greenwood at Barrow etc 1
Roughyed Rats Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Ted Chapelhow signs another two year deal. Great news. 8
Bedford Roughyed Posted August 12 Posted August 12 1 hour ago, Roughyed Rats said: Ted Chapelhow signs another two year deal. Great news. Story here- 2 With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!
m brooksy Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Absolutely fantastic news. Been outstanding two seasons in a row. 4
bosman69 Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Delighted that Ted has been retained. Great age for a prop and his form over a prolonged time more than warranted this
