Really like O'Keefe and think he will get better and better. Really strong carry and solid in defence. Actually wouldn't mind him going to the wing as he seems to get a lot more ball even if it's carrying from our own line whereas at centre he has to be a lot more disciplined.

Is Owen Farnworth not on board yet? I’d get him signed up asap.

I think Dudson will announce his retirement at the end of the season.

Just seen the interview with Owen..the caption said one year not two but either way its a great retention imo.

He can get a bit carried away at times and this can lead to the occasional error or penalty but his aggressive approach is very much needed.

There has been a drop off in intensity when owen and Jack are subbed.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Gil Dudson just announced his retirement from international rugby league, which suggests (to me) that he’s intending to play on at club level.

If so hopefully he gets a good pre season and can contribute more than this year.

Tough ask to assemble a squad when you don’t know which league you’ll be playing,  but which realistic targets would you like to see added?

id start with Gebbie, Condon. Jack Hughes

Jack Hughes (33 yrs)- another elder statesman - we already have too many of those. No thanks - younger players needed.

Would take Condon as looked quality against us but could see him getting a SL club

Wow! They’re not messing about, are they. Unlike previous years (decades?) when it seems we have to try to pick from whoever’s left, it seems that MF/BQ are after the best we can get early on (given the uncertainty caused by the ever-ridiculous SL shenanigans). Many of these players have given us excellent service over the last year or two. I’d single out Mo; unfortunately injuries seem to have got the better if him: and also the mighty ET, leader and tackling machine. Two really nice blokes too, always with time for the fans. Jack Johnson & Pat Moran have never let us down. Perhaps they want regular starts; maybe we have even better lined up who can take us to a higher level. The two French lads, to be honest, I think haven’t set the world on fire, though it’s great that they’ve been with us. Sambou we knew about but the rumour is that he could be back on loan. None of the released 13 have let us down and I’d thank every one of them and wish them great success elsewhere (except against Oldham, obv). Now (please) to get in some speedy, game-breaking, rl hungry, mentally tough, ambitious lads who will take us to and sustain us at the next level and crucially in any key games to come. Exciting times.

Shame about Chapielow and Moran. The rest pretty straightforward for various reasons.
