So no Toby Everitt, Louis Collinson and Menzies Yei, guessing they are injured?

Ones to miss out expect will be from AJ Boardman, Louie Walker, Joel Russell and Tom Delaney.

Has Jamie Field left the club? Last I saw he was sub at Shaw Cross.

Hard to fathom if he has.  I thought he was starting to look good.   I assumed he was injured.

I think Collinson is injured along with Jamie Field.,foot injury.  I'd put Louie Walker in halves with Sykes, Hookem interchange hooker,Boardman either starting or on bench.

Luke Mearns is the interchange hooker for the last 10 minutes.

For me Hookem is getting better every game... if he hadn't had to leave the field against Keighley I believe we would have won!

I think Hookem needs to do less and organise more esp on 6th tackle on attack. Having watched the Keighley game on video, we were lucky to only lose by 6.

Just goes to show... you dont see the bigger picture on the video... We were awful in the first half but had our chances in the second and i am convinced if Hookem had stayed on the pitch we would have won! His game has improved immeasurably this season....

Yes he backed up to score the second try.....no field kicking game and didn't make or create one break. Beharrell was streets ahead in comparison.

7s seem to be a rare commodity but we seem to be especially slow to pick up good ones.  When was last decent 7 we had?  Thacks?

I was thinking the same with Thackeray.

Calum Turner isn't getting much game time at Fev.

I reckon we are in for a torrid time at Colwyn Bay, be it the weather or from the league leaders. Their points difference alone stands out against our paltry 38, theirs being 233.

WR, I hope I’m wrong, but Crusaders have developed and progressed through the season; have we?

I can see no prospect other than another comprehensive defeat. A really fit team would struggle in this heat whilst an unfit one would noticeably wilt. Add in uncomfortable travel and poor recent form and only one winner looks likely.

I will be absent, once again, largely due to other arrangements but frankly our recent performances don't really generate much enthusiasm to travel any distance.

Prove me wrong boys!

0Watching the 2nd half, a good performance from the Rams. Defended well, gave the ball some air, some attacking kicks, Hookem added some spark at acting half...

With Swinton and Workington winning though, think that effectively ends any chance of Top 4 unless we can win 4 out of the last 5. I think we have the players, maybe the desperation will force them to up their game.

From the bit that I saw on my postage stamp of a screen after WR posted the link (thanks for that BTW) it didn't look too bad. The forwards in particular looked to give as good as they got.

Maybe we have the foundations here, but still a lot of building work to do.

Watched first half and we were lucky to be just 10 points down though we scored the best try of the game. 

Until Sykes came on our field kicking was poor, Coates kicking dead 7 tackle set, Hookem giving an easy catch in in-goal and 7 tackle set, Hookem with Sykes outside him, runs from acting half slips and fluffs his kick. Coates has one kick-off to exactly the same position every time. Couldn't make it any easier for the opposition if we tried. 

Hookems runs out of the line, misses and gifts Crusaders first try. He ran out of the line for their second try but didn't miss. He spilled the ball 3rd tackle trying to dive over from acting half. But he is certainly sharper on attack from acting half, runs and his passing is quicker than McShanes. 

It's the same old story as soon as we reach the opposition 20, we lack ideas or nous to even try for a drop out. 

But overall, Crusaders had much better line speed, ran strongly, forwards ran in pairs, their 6th tackle was either a good kick or turned the ball over on our line. They didn't give away easy penalties. And in Dallimore they had a half back who knew how to manage a game and take the right options. 

But if we can sort out some decent attacking kicks on 6th tackle, stop giving easy penalties, run onto the ball and have better line speed, we could win all our remaining games.
