Average start from the French, Refs been poor but need to cut down on the errors. They look pretty poor in defence as well, a bit to improve on.

What an age to be alive!

I've taken today off to do a bunch of DIY at home but am now watching East Campbelltown Eagles vs France u19s in HD! I remember when it took Rugby League Week magazine 2 weeks to make it to the UK.

But not everything changes. I tuned in just in time to see Aussie officials rubbing out a decent France try.

16-0 France, starting to improve minute by minute. Should be 5-6 tries up if the Touch judge had eyes but oh well.

Sosse's done well at fullback, Descalzi and Ricard going strong through the middle. Jocelyn on the edge has been damaging. Beauvilliers has been Immense and changed the game since coming on, he plays at a different intensity to everyone else on the field, such an amazing player.

22-22 all draw

Embarrassing performance from the French. Especially that second half. Defence was abysmal, zero continuity, reaching for tackles. Looked dreadful.

Reffing was poor and France were hard done by numerous times, but that is no excuse. Half the players out there looked they were scared to make tackles, In attack players were taking isolated carries, and no structure. They have to improve against the Tigers and Knights.

They started there first game poor last year as well. It could be to do with jet lag. They shouldn't be playing 2 days after landing, give it 3 at least.

From what I saw the ref really helped the home team but still I wasn’t impressed with the French, they had a few decent players but several weak links.

Not impressive at all. Definitely have some fantastic players, but zero continuity and structure. And that defence was down right awful, one of the worst defensive performances you'll ever see. 

Bucket loads to improve on, Tigers game will not be pretty if they play like that again.

France have 4 players sick, vomiting bug caught on thr flight over,

It was a selection of players from around the campbletown area, 8 are in nrl systems,

That makes the result a bit better. Looked through the team list, most of them are either playing Harold Matts for the Tigers (Magpies) or playing in the Laurie Daley cup for Macarthur which is still a great standard.

They definitely weren't playing against a random U19s side, this was probably the best players from 8 teams put together.

Yes it was, there was some big bodies out there, and some very good players. Under the watchful eye of Trent Robinson and a lot of scouts, 

France has a lot of first year u19s in the squad

Some poor defence and poor reffing.

That try down the left was well taken by the French, despite the flimsiness of the tackling. The cross-field kick that he dived at to attempt to score was just too near the ground. I had to look at it a couple of times, but I think he dropped it as he dived short of the line. Tough one to take with it dipping. Maybe he could have let the ball bounce, but it probably would have rolled on too quickly.

Mahault Beauvilliers, The Hooker with headgear. Small but incredibly smart, fantastic defender, quick and changes the game every time he comes on. Still a year young as well. Limoux

Lenny Marc, didn't play tonight but probably Frances best player, Athletic and dangerous centre. Should debut next season for Catalans

Giovanni Descalzi, Prop, strong and mobile. Great talent, was 18th man for Catalans a few weeks back, not far from debut.

Adrian De La Rose, great foward, also a year young. Limoux

Thibualt Correges, starting hooker, Regular for Albi, won the Super XIII. 

Luca Walsh, isn't on the tour but he is the St Helens halfback for Academy and reserves, and an important player for both. 

Steven Jocelyn, second rower for Toulouse, strong and damaging, mobile.

Those are probably the best talents, I think we'll see most of those guys in SL one day. Killian Buche, Paul Galy, Loris Zamutt, Anthony Munico, Nolan Sosse, Felix Gautier are others to look out for too.

True isn`t it. I used to get all my international Rugby League news from a 16-page rag published once a month called Rugby League Review (it wasn`t cheap) until my wife put me onto these League forums five years ago. I`d have read the bloody thing in half an hour. Now with the click of a button I can get the latest League news from all over the world. Crikey, I`m even up to date with Wakefield Trinity submission plans.
