Finally restarting the game now, after a 70 minute delay with a penalty to Widnes. Edene Gebbie sent off.

Both teams fired up, with another high tackle from Doncaster within two minutes of the restart sparking a punch up with another Doncaster player sent off (can't see who) and a Widnes player (Gregson?) sin binned for running in.

Suaia Matagi sent off for Doncaster now, Nick Gregson binned for Widnes

How has it taken Widnes this long to score!

We're really not very good at converting a set of six on the line into points. That said, 13 v 11 seems like we should be able to make an overlap somewhere...

Kind of feel for Doncaster in this situation. OTOH, I've never seen a RL team trying to run down the clock with 50 minutes to go...

FT Sheffield 6 - London 48 - Well pleased with this score, especially after the disappointment of last week at Ebbsfleet FC The task for London is now to get as far up the table as practicable.

Matagi was stupid considering what had just happened.

Can't imagine Dons getting a win even from 10 points up. Players will be knackered and there's gaps everywhere

Widnes 16 Doncaster 18 with about 10 minutes to go. Doncaster looking more likely to score in spite of having 11 men, could be that missed conversions prove costly for them.

Well deserved win for Doncaster - would've won by miles if it'd been 13 v 13. Very professional in the way they wasted time, slowed the game down etc. but Reece Lyne & Craig Hall in particular always looked a big threat. Widnes looked utterly disorganised, perhaps unsurprising given the scratch nature of the team from week to week, but some really poor and stupid play.at times.

Well done to the referee, pretty difficult situation to handle. I would probably have abandoned the game given that it basically lasted 3 hours, but it seems like it was the right thing to play on.

Hall and Lyne have been outstanding this season, both leading by example where needed.

Thanks for that

It was a game won on decision making at the end of the day. Donny made a lot more good decisions than bad ones for the last 60 minutes. Widnes made a lotr more bad one than good ones

As a Doncaster fan who attended today am glad to hear Jake has no serious neck injury !

Think we all are, I've been watching nearly 60 years and can't remember anything like today. Awful experience.

Good news on Maizen.

thanks to medical staff from Widnes and Doncaster for their help in what was a very distressing situation for those of us in the ground.
