I actually disagree, these players need a system to be coached to. Defensive and attacking. Piecing together a squad from the various clubs will have various attacking and defensive patterns. The players will need to be singing the same tune. I think NSW proved that an all stars team doesn’t necessarily result in an All Stars performance.

He did take a Broncos team to a GF and while many may not think that is any mean feat, it was the first time in 8 years and only the second time in 17. That may work on a law of averages, but they normally have a strong team on paper to achieve much better.

I just hope the Kangaroos get pumped. 3-0. That will set up a spectacular WC.

Took them to the grand final which with a bit of game management by the captain in the last 10 minutes they would have won. And transformed them from bottom of the league when he took over to grand finalists 2 years later.
