Peter Winthorpe Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 What sort of opposition do we expect from them on Sunday? They seemed to have improved since our game there and they were good enough to beat Haven. Town by 10 I hope. UTT

wonky Posted August 1, 2025 Posted August 1, 2025 (edited) Looks like we only have 1 recognised winger in the team this week, and he's been playing centre , hopefully they put Cole out there and don't move zarrin from full back unless Spencer can move out there and have Rio and max at centres Edited August 1, 2025 by wonky the futures bright, the futures blue and white
homeandawayer Posted August 1, 2025 Posted August 1, 2025 Spencer and Atiga back on the wing until one of them is back.

silverfox Posted August 1, 2025 Posted August 1, 2025 This could be a very difficult game . If anybody was at the keighley home game where we won . Keighley blew three trys before we scored .Even there coach in his interview after the game said it could have been a very different outcome if they had got those trys . But he still give credit to the trys we scored and how we played.

Family friendly. In the words of Alanis Morrisette … That's an event ran by a well run, well organised independent organisation and has been for a number of years. Limmertime Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 (edited) Keighley seem to be getting into some form...but so do town. If town continue playing like they have in last 2 games its a 10 point town win Edited August 3, 2025 by Limmertime
Sticklebricks Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 Well we tried our best to throw it away, but I’ll take any sort of win utt
wonky Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 Jesus Christ, what have I just watched absolute cruise control at half time, then his to lose a game in 40 minutes commenced. Even after letting them back in we go and score a great try through Levi's break and Rio's, then Levi left his lungs on the 40 metre line and chaos commenced. We need to get Levi fit asap because he's unplayable firing on all cylinders, but when he's shot he's an accident waiting to happen as we seen today. But we got there and that's all that matters. I thought keighley were really good second half. Our props were immense today, especially Stevie and Ross, but guy, Lucas and Callum all came on and put big shifts in. Rio had by a mile his best game in a town shirt, and Mason looks a real un, him, Caine, Jake and cooper fighting for second row spots next year is going to be some battle 2 the futures bright, the futures blue and white
townie88 Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 (edited) Good win that. We were in control of all the ball, territory and being patient in the 1st half. A very measured performance. Then in the 2nd half i wouldn't say we tried to throw it away, more like keighley turned up and started doing to us what we had done to them. Lewthwaite can feel unlucky not to get m.o.m on debut. Rio's best game in a town shirt. Thought we looked miles more measured and in control with callum at 9 with stevie, Ross and Stepehenson on the field. Good game to watch Edited August 3, 2025 by townie88 2
The Voodooguru Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 Talk about staggering over the line! The two points are in the bag and that's the most important thing but that was too close for comfort. How are Keighley second bottom? They are a good side and really well coached, but just a bit soft defensively. Their full back could catch pigeons. They targeted Dom defensively but he did really well with great support. A few individual errors gave them soft tries. Levi sets up the try of the game and gives us all about three heart attacks. Great debut for Lewthwaite and a good couple of tries. First half our defence was awesome and we took our opportunities well. Second half we were our own worst enemies, turning the ball over cheaply, forcing passes early in the sets, giving soft pens, etc. Great result and a decent game to watch, its just a pity there wasn't more watching it. I suppose Kendal calling & school holidays will have had an effect. But it's a shame not more people are getting down. UTT But I know nothing. 2 The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!
Unicorn 106 Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 OMG we nearly threw that away, Keighley dominated field position but we put points on the board when in good position. Will take it and we move on . UTT 1
homeandawayer Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 First half great defense and they broke us a few times but only scored off one of them. I thought I'd be disappointed with that scoreline but I'm not ..they're an impressive outfit and it was a good two points to get. Carter controlled as usual, Lewthwaite looked a great signing and understably will get better with more gametime, Levi is a beast , I'm going to enjoy every game he has for Town as surely he'll have a better offer next year, Guy is well underrated and CWT redeemed himself under massive pressure. Not perfect at all but it was a great game. 3
