A great win - just seen the full match on YouTube and I think the win was well deserved as the team managed to contain the Crusaders large pack and shut down most of the Crusaders attacks.

I think we got the rub of the green as it were with a couple of the ref's decisions going our way and in particular when he deemed Gibson held up over the line. It also helped that they didn't convert their tries.

I think every player had a good game they tackled well and moved the ball about well 🙂

A very good performance from Swinton. They defended really well against a powerful team who chose a battering ram approach for most of the match. Swinton got under their skin and Dalimore's missed kicks were costly. Swinton rode their luck and capitalised on Crusader errors some of which were forced by aggressive defence. Win, loose or draw the referee comes in for blame and there were odd decisions that went against both sides.  A well deserved victory for an improving team.

It will be interesting to see which of the current squad are to be retained. Announcements this month have been promised on 16 retained players who have agree contracts or are about to do so. Some new recruits too I understand.

I was really impressed with Sargent on Sunday, felt like his best game for us. Aggressive in defense and made plenty of yards going forward. Walker still pulls his shirt down after every run, he managed to get the ball out though but we punched holes in the defense behind him when he was struggling to get back defensively. North Wales were disappointing, it felt like they ran out of idea when plan A didn't work. Most of the other ex Swinton players were quiet, a bit like when they played for us!

We played really well on Sunday as we did against Midlands

It begs the question as to why we were so awful at Dewsbury

Every week Jack Stevens performances beg the question as to why he was ommited so often in early season especially away at Workington when we picked Finn Rogers to debut instead.

Sargent played like he had a point to prove and he did. We dont use our three quarters enough and we still dont score enough points but the last couple of matches the commitment has been there and I'm happy with that.

Most of our ex players were lacking commitment and that was evident on Sunday

North Wales were disappointing and belligerent.

Another tough game next Sunday - lets hope the team can keep their consistency and get a win at Goole.

I also hope we can keep hold of Stevens who has been patient waiting for his opportunity to prove his worth.

Totally agree Mark, apparently Paul Wood said he wasn't involved at the start of the season as he wanted him to work on certain aspects of his game and making the right choices, not sure how you can show you have learnt that without game time but he has certainly impressed since he came in. We have a mini bus going from the Windmill to Goole so should either be in fine voice by the time the game starts, or asleep.

Baker signing his been a major turning point of our season for me, I was skeptical of him lasting the season but he has been outstanding  and a true leader, I stand behind the posts and its his voice you hear encouraging the team
