You only have to see the snide comments about Catalan getting state/local funding to see that they are all of that persuasion that believes that government support is a sign of weakness or cheating.

But good to know that the outriders on here were absolutely spot on that the meetings were unimportant, standard and probably went really well.

Matt Hughes is not someone whose views I particularly like but he has an annoying habit of usually being right, or at least right at the time, in terms of what he puts his name to.

I expect they'll avoid serious censure by agreeing a plan forwards, but there is already gaslighting going on by referring to this situation coming due to the resignations earlier this year.

But remember, youve been told nothing to see here and you should all know your place and dont question anything.

Having no proper governance just typifies the amateurish jobs for the boys approach. 

Will Wood have to resign now? 

If he does, then what credibility does his half-arsed part game review have? Not that it had much before.

The problem is that it appears they've already done the, "here's a plan to alleviate your concerns" stage.

Withdrawing funding is close to unheard of - the way these things are usually done (when they happen) is that funding is not renewed at the same level at the end of the particular cycle.

To be letting it be known to journos that this is on the table is also highly unusual. If those behind the putsch want to stick their fingers in their ears or just shout at anyone who so much as has a question then the sport really is in serious trouble.

Plus the money they are risking very little if any goes to SL clubs. It’s mainly for various international set ups and grassroots.

Good, as damaging as this is, this is the medicine the cabal of clowns needs.

Let's see Red Hall Ron spin this. I guess laughter emojis at the posts that he disagrees with or pathetic humour attempts will continue. The sad thing is as much as he attempts to deflect with jokes, he is a laughing stock as it is. Continuing to debase himself. Really sad to see.

Cutting funding to internationals and any level below super league does seem in line with current Super League strategy. 

If Mr Wood is to blame as some suggest, he would need to be the person who hired Mr Wood without advertising the job openly.
